Looking for an old cypriot friend

Postby sbittick » Mon May 09, 2005 2:44 pm

Any ideas on how I might be able to track down an old college friend? She has since married and I do not know her married name. I do remember her parent's address and phone and her maiden name. Where should I start? I appreciate any help anyone can provide. It has been far too long since I talked with her.

Can I suggest that you fly to Cyprus, you're more than likely to meet someone who knows her in the seat next to you on the plane. The number of times I've been flying to Cyprus and met someone connected to my wife's family just isn't true!

well, if you remember her parents address and phone than I would start from there. Unless there is any reason that keeps you away from her parents....

@moose: you should have figured by now that Cyprus is a small island with big families and strong family connections. ;o)

It has its uses true, knowing people at Cyprus Airways and Helios has its advantages for sure... oh, and the land registry... and the Archbishopric... Not that I'm saying nepotism rules in Cyprus :!:

As for bad sides, trying to enjoy a nice romantic meal, without bumping into a dozen old school friends at the next table

Nice avatar by the way

thank you moose. :-)
Didn't like it any longer to have the same pic as admin, therefore I searched the gallery again and found this nice one. It must have slipped my attention when I first set up my profile...

Yes, you are right, thats the point. You can't do anything unseen, no good things and no "bad" things. People will probably even know what you bought your wife for her birthday cause someone saw you in the shop!

I'd surmise that the levels of adultery in Cyprus are quite low, you'd probably be out with your mistress and see your giagia across the room...
