ILLEGAL FISHING BY TURKISH SHIPS IN CYPRUS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

lol Saint Jimmy...why did you do that? To receive provocation?

Actually, we're not as violent as you're told. I took a GC friend of mine to Famagusta last summer and we saw a TC guy sitting with his buddy and listening Greek music, pretty loud! And it didn't bother anyone. Can you imagine this happenning in the south? A GC listening Turkish music loud in the middle of Limassol for example?

Course not, man!
I just hadn't realised what I was wearing, and the visit was a kind of spur-of-the-moment thing. By the time I realised what I had on, we'd already been through the gates for a while on foot, and I figured, if I hadn't realised earlier from any weird frowns, it wasn't so bad.
But from that point on I was on the look out for any weird looks, and I did come across some; well, actually, they were more 'surprised' looks, you know, like when you see something you wouldn't expect to see, then you look away, and then, once what you've seen has registered with your brain, you look back at it, eyes wide open...? Them kind of looks, but nothing hostile.

Brother,

How many days a year do you spent in north Cyprus? I just wonder. Are you one of UK TCs that come to island only for 1 month or so to have a vacation and then leave or do you live on the island for more periods of time.

I went to school in cyprus, i graduated from lise then went to university, guess where, my father owned business's and i interacted with many, many settlers and i guess i saw more of their hostile side than the flowery picture you may have, even though i have been in u.k a few years now my visits are most frequent topped buy the fact 70% of my very large family are resident on the island gives my personal opinion which i guess based on your judgement of time spent and interaction rights of opinion a sound one.

To much details, I just wanted to see how your opinions has been formed on this issue. Hope no hard feelings.

Still even with all these experiences I think you are overgeneralizing.

Thanks anyway

No problem :D

The dissatisfaction of the tc people about the turkish boats grows as they call on the goverment for action against these boats who have used the deception of bad weather to come and fish the livestock around cyprus.
