you can buy so much more with half a million dollars...

The above plots of land have been officially evaluated. We live in this beautiful green area and can assure you that you can enjoy fresh non-humid summer nights in your garden, it is a safe area for children and residents of the area are well mannered.

Sadly J&J that's the price being asked for in that area .

But there's a big difference in asking price, the real value and what the seller eventually gets .

I cant get my head round the fact that with the limassol area in particular land prices are almost on par with a house built on the same size plot :?

Bill, i guess its the same as the price of a shitty 2 bed terraced house in back street in brixton being sold for 2.5+ more than my 4 bed detached dormer bungalow on a nice size plot in a nice area in wales.

Areas, especially towns/capitals command much higher prices. I am not saying I agree, but thats the way things are.

Life is so unfair.

Good point - the house is essentially worthless; it's made up of bricks and concrete which depreciate over time. its the land under the house that holds the value.

Look at this - same price but 3 bedroom detached, with communal pool, on 2/3 size plot but in a MUCH better area, with elevated sea views:
