I am not watching anything to do with the Olympics. I do not support any country that violates human rights on daily basis both as an occupation force as well as its own peasants.

I know! .... It's outrageous that a country like China should have been allowed to participate in the Olympics.

Imagine how unpleasant the "trnc" must be to remain excluded from these games.

Another TC bashing post eh?

Ask yourself this. What was the first nation to send home an athlete for failing a drugs test?

Answer; GREECE!

Oh, the SHAME you must be feeling today O!!

I don't think there are many countries around that can boast a totally "clean" past, dig deep enough and you will always find something. China's violations are more recent, but maybe the games will encourage talks - lets hope so. England is not without her past either is she? Oracle, you were only mentioning colonialism the other day, and that together with her illegal invasion of Iraq must surely mean that England is not fit to host the games either? The Olympic games are where every nation on earth can send the best of their best to compete in games, it is not surely a political arena then?

As for the usual trivial drivel regarding TRNC, I can't actually be bothered to comment on that further.

What I will do is wish everyone luck in the games - especially Ireland (of course) and heres hoping I will be hearing the national anthem :

Sinne Fianna Fáil
A tá fé gheall ag Éirinn,
buion dár slua
Thar toinn do ráinig chugainn,
Fé mhóid bheith saor.
Sean tír ár sinsir feasta
Ní fhagfar fé'n tiorán ná fé'n tráil
Anocht a théam sa bhearna bhaoil,
Le gean ar Ghaeil chun báis nó saoil
Le guna screach fé lámhach na bpiléar
Seo libh canaídh Amhrán na bhFiann.

(Soldiers are we , whose lives are pledged to Ireland;
Some have come from a land beyond the wave.
Sworn to be free, No more our ancient sire land
Shall shelter the despot or the slave.
Tonight we man the gap of danger
In Erin's cause, come woe or weal
'Mid cannons' roar and rifles peal,
We'll chant a soldier's song).

Éire go Brách!!!

Forget about the occupied..."turkey=fascist state", send 68 athletes to China for the Olympics...from a population of 70 odd million...not even a one per million...nice...

But I think if they had this as an Olympic sport they would have send heaps more

PS...I wonder what he is looking for  ...or then again he might have thought was playing indoor cricket

Someone e-mailed this to me saying that Turkey may be secretly training some athletes to send on behalf of the "trnc" for the 2012 Olympics.

They are proposing a new track event .....

Sorry I cannot vote in this poll as I don't identify who or what is the TRNC.

seems this poll is as good as the one that came from the North, Halil are you listening

Iceman, that was very unsporting of you mate, to throw those insults at a lady.

If you had thrown them at SSBubbles, that would have been more fitting.

You're supposed to ask him why he is in a bad mood

(I would care enough to ask, but he would only tell me to f*ck off again, and although that's tantamount to a good start for me, once is enough  )
