I adopted a kitten from June - now in his second year and going strong - so I can vouch for her genuineness.

good on you tim.
we also have one rescue dog but she was thrown over into our garden, she was only about three weeks old, our giant schnauzer bitch took over and treated her as her own. hence she stayed.

it sounds like in the south you have the same problems as here in the north regarding pets.
does the south have any laws regarding pet ownership? do they enforce them?

why calling your kind giant schnauzer a BITCH? Didn't she deserve some respect?

:)

I found a tiny orphaned kitten (two weeks old) in the street more than 2 years ago and brought him home and fed him from a bottle. I called him "Lucky" because the two kittens I had previously tried to rescue both died in a short space of time. I hoped this would be third time lucky, and this turned out to be the case because he has grown into a huge monster of an adult. I answered a newspaper advert placed by June who was trying to find a home for a small kitten because I thought it would be better for Lucky to grow up with another cat as a friend. That's how I got Micky, who has also grown into a fine adult.
I don't think there are any special laws concerning cat ownership here, but I could be wrong. Nemo censetur ignorare legem!

ray, she is the fastest thing on four legs, a proper little madam, has awesome teeth. anyone who gets in her way will know she's a bitch. btw her name is rose, we have been teaching her turkish so she now answers to gul as well. we love her to bits.
she started life a an unwanted puppy when a breeder died, born in their garage and housed there until we rescued her.

she is probably one of the luckiest bitches around, good food, regular haircut ,regular health checks, sleeps on a very expensive leather sofa as her bed, and has even flown cta to cyprus, relocated to live her life out in the cyprus sunshine.
hobbies are mountian climbing in hunting season and chaseing turks and their silly pointers.
