My point really.
All I am saying is that based on a certain premise, Turkish will become an official EU language.
This premise is that the current round of negotiations results in a bi-communal, bi-zonal federation deemed to be a continuation of the 1960 republic in which Turkish is an official language, and which acceeded to the EU as such in 2004, and if, following such a solution, the acquis communitaire is applied to the whole island, including the area populated mainly by Turkish speakers.
Under any other circumstances, the bets are off.
Let's not make a mountain out of a molehill.
PS Has the article of the RoC Constitution providing for the official languages of the Republic been suspended?
