54,373,282GBP value of claims turned to 6,359,500 GBP awarded and a GRAND total of 2,500 GBP was given as compensation of not being able to use the land.

90% of the claims are now being withdrawn and no more GC's applying to this farce are foreseen.

This is the most stupid and typically Turkish Cypriot thing i've read in a long time.
Force us from our homes in the north, then when you want your land back in the south, you blame the refugees you kicked out for living on your land in there.

Adding to THAT, Turkish Cypriot and Turkish fascists LIKE VP are AGAINST Greek Cypriot refugee's right of return, which would FREE UP the Turkish Cypriot land in the south that has Greek Cypriot refugees living on it.

Typically Turkish Cypriot - ask for a lot but give nothing in return.

dude, if you have land in the south it is there for you as it was before you were displaced (or left). at least this much is true. there is no need for "commississions". In the south there is no desire like in the north to create an exclusive domain where the owners of the land have no chance to retake possession of it, if they so choose. in the south, there is the law and it is the same for anyone, who wants the return of land to which they have title.

Therefore its simple Zan - Turkey should allow refugees the right of return which will go a very long way in aiding an agreement.

Do you expect the RoC government to force Greek Cypriot refugees from their land for Turkish Cypriots, when Turkish Cypriots and Turkey will not let Greek Cypriot refugees return to theirs in the north ???? The Republic of Cyprus has already give numerous title deeds to Turkish Cypriots who applied for their land back that has no Greek Cypriot refugees from the north living on them. Where do you expect these Greek Cypriot refugees to go Zan? Do you want them to be made refugees AGAIN??

Very busy DT... I should be back in Cyprus end of September (next month) or latest October. I hope to participate more often then. I do go through and read throgh the posts every now and then - but this lot are like a cat chasing the can attached to his/her tail GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES ALL THE TIME
