I am a Hypocrite ....

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Postby Feisty » Mon Aug 04, 2008 9:52 am

I'm not criticising you Oracle, rather am saddened by the fact that you seem to spend so much of your time in conflict which is no good for the psyche. I haven't got the time, or the inclination, to spend time trying to tear people to pieces.
I've had 20 months of absolute hell where I have lost virtually everything I spent 30 years working for and very nearly lost my life to a crazy stalker and now I try to stay calm and focus on what is important, my health being the most important because without it I cannot be of any use doing the things I need to do.
By all means you should fight for what you believe in and challenge what you disagree with but you need to counter that with logic. Blanket hatred of people just because they are Turkish is not logical.

Do you have any hypocritical confessions ? :?

Do you feign interest to someone you should be telling to get lost?

Do you pretend to like someone you hate?

.... or are you true to yourself and tell it like it is?

Be honest :D

Seems to me that you are so eaten up with bitterness, anger and hatred that there is no room in your life for much else. I don't think I've ever seen you on this forum express any sort of happiness in your life at all.

How can I be eaten up if I criticise what I consider to be ridiculous views by others. :?

I would be a hypocrite if I saw wrong and covered it up or falsely praised it.

Whenever I make genuine posts of admiration for something, guess what Feisty ... I am told to take off the rose-tinted spectacles

Basically I am true to myself and am not here to win popularity, because I don't need to.

I am only here to counter the Turkish propaganda and anti-Cypriot comments, and in between I have a laugh!
If it is at some-one's expense, I make that obvious ... so I get criticised (but at least I am not a hypocrite on that score ).

Are you a Hypocrite Feisty? ... is it easier to criticise me than to reveal how honest you are?

Seems people like to believe they can do no wrong, but even earnest Deniz supports the TCs who are happy to live in an ethnically cleansed part of Cyprus. ... I view that as the greatest of hypocrisies.

You oft talk about human rights. It is mine also to visit my homeland, and my relatives. Or should I deny myself MY Human Rights so as to gain your approval? If you consider that as 'suppoting ' the 'illegalities' in the North, then you are in need of therapy. It wasnt long ago that you and Halil were planning your 'tour' of Cyprus what a joke that was; what has changed since then? Oh yes, Tpapa lost the elections and Christofias is at the helm. So your new plan is to thwart any sort of peace deal. You are sad indeed.

Have a good day.

I am sorry you have had a hard time of late .... but I learnt to accept a long time ago that life is about solving problems.

Problems don't frighten me, I relish challenges no matter what. Hence my chosen career I suppose.

You need to find a way to tun problems into positive character building, life enhancing experiences. Then you may generate the energy to keep going.

Problems get easier to solve as one gets older, don't you find?

As for this blanket hatred of Turkey, I cannot deny it as I would be a hypocrite ... but you know I don't understand why people think such a thing is bad? .... It gives me enormous freedom to have one thing wrapped up neatly

You say you are here to counter anti-Cyprus comments which, quite frankly is silly. If people accuse you of looking at things with rose tinted spectacles then I would say you also need to take off your blinkers. If anyone says something about a wrongdoing in Cyprus, you never accept it, rather you just come back with attacks against things that are wrong in other countries, usually the UK. No one is ever saying that anywhere is perfect but you are unable to have any meaningful debate on a subject that criticises anything about Cyprus.
You need to separate constructive criticism from blind malicious criticism, and make valuable contributions to discussions without malicious personal comments.

You cannot indeed change the way you feel about all things Turkish but if we all carried on like that, we'd hate everything. With such hatred the world would never move forward. We'd all be dead in fact because the first and second world wars would not be history as we know it as we wouldn't be here.

I'd agree to a point that problems become easier to solve as you get older but you also get more vulnerable because you do not have time to make good the wrongs and also those around you need your care more than they ever did. Everything I do now, I have to take into account the effect my actions would have on my 80 year old mother who now relies on me more than ever.

Indeed I am usually the first to use the argument that these things happen worldwide ... you obviously don't read my posts but only the criticisms about me.

I then post whatever is contextually appropriate to show that these things are not isolated but universal.

But you still haven't answered whether you consider yourself to be a hypocrite .. but choose instead to continue to criticise / advise me

Aaahhh ... so now you are admitting hypocrisy, perhaps

Why would you hate everything Feisty?

I can distinguish between what I hate and what I don't hate. I can go as far as expressing my hate, hence no denial. I therefore know I do not hate everything. So there is much I love.

Are you afraid to express an emotion such as hate because you think it will take over you completely?

Feisty are you a full time carer for your mother?

Do you have any support looking after her?

Hate is a very strong word and one which I use very rarely.
I hate the man who's ruined my life and I have very very strong feelings of anger towards the police and authority figures in the UK who allow women to be harrassed and even murdered by stalkers and allow it to happen. I am angry that laws are not passed to protect women, and maybe men, against these people.

When I said we'd hate everything I was using the word loosely and maybe meant the Germans. Do all Jews hate all Germans or do they attribute the blame where it lies? I don't know.

Whether I'm a hypocrite or not, or viewed as one on here, really has no relevance. As I've said before, most people on here are anonymous personnas who could be anyone. I'd find it a waste of my energies hating or even disliking them because they, and me, are all nobodies on here. I'd consider myself to have a very empty life if I cared what anyone thought of me on here or if I got so drawn in as to feel I had strong emotions about anyone on here. Other than me, you might all be one mad person with multiple personalities.
