The 48th Mehmetcik(Galatya ,Galatia ) Grape Festival has got underway.The Festival will also feature the 2nd International Golden Bunch Documentary Film Festival which is organized in memory of the famous Turkish Cypriot thespian Kemal Tunc who passed away last year.


Mehmetcik Festival will include many colourful activities such as book signing days featuring Turkish Cypriot authors and poets, a cartoons exhibition, the display of traditional food and handicrafts as well as a lot of enjoyable competitions.

The Festival will continue until the 10th of August.
