Well thanks to Richard :wink: ... we can now move on to that other Great British Institution ....

The Women's Institute!

Love the cakes, de rigeur Laura Ashley dresses, knitted dollies ..... but the strings of pearls (3 if your husband is a Captain? .... is that right? :? ) and as for nudy Calenders ... well :shock:

All the Great British Institutions have their equivalents firmly established in Cyprus ... :roll:

Brits and Cypriots ...... one and the same :shock:

(It's the same if you try and draw parallels with the Scots and the Greeks ... you know, skirts and bagpipes 8) )

Both speak theier language with a dialect

Now Lord Byron a man so famous he won the war against the ottomans all on his own so every town in Greece and Cyprus has a street named after him :lol:
