Only for those that think like you. I seem to remember bombs going off in the "RoC" on a daily basis....When was the last one???

Don't be scared of democracy Stella......I know you don't think along those lines but you will have to get used to it or continue living in the underworld that you are accustomed to...

The only democracy I am afraid of is the one which comes under your definition Osman, and the Turks' misconstrued format. :?

Any bombs in the RoC were those courtesy of Turkey, which further supports my comment of that being the only way parties such as AKP can communicate with their Deep State Leadership, which now further underpins them, by allowing them some continued funding ....

Paid Democracy .....

What further proof do we need that Turkey makes a mockery of democracy .... than the way the AKP is allowed to continue to "govern".

If they go against the Deep State / Guardians of Kemalism ... they have their funds slashed.

If they don't do exactly as they are told by the real (fascist) leaders (army) ... they will get the boot.

Democracy, yeah right  .... whom are they fooling!

Are the members of the court appointed by the President? Will Gul now change the composition of this court? I think Erdogan has been greatly strengthened by this decision which is not just a defeat but another defeat for the kemalists and the army.

As far as I know, they are. Of the eleven judges, eight were appointed by the previous staunchly Kemalist president Sezer, and three by earlier right-wing presidents.
I am not too sure what the rules are for making new appointments, but you can be sure that the AKP will gradually work to get their own people into the court.

How can it be a defeat for the Army? :?

The army now totally rules the party, by allowing it to remain in power under their conditions.

What a clear message they have sent as to who makes the decisions! The AKP is on a knife-edge towards total removal if they don't carry out the wishes of the army. Very clever

Best of both worlds for the Generals; if they control the ruling party, there is no other opposition party to worry about!

Also, they absolve themselves from taking responsibility when things go wrong.

Does this mean that we can now expect the "RoC" to get rid of all those appointed by Tpap and that we should look at them as hostile????

Look to thy selves my friends and ballance the rest of the world to it   Otherwise you could end up like that twisted Stella/Oracle woman.

 Where did you see democracy? If it was democracy then they wouldn't penalize them based on those accusations. You have no clue about what democracy is Zan. But you are a Turk so I wasn't hoping you would!

as far as i know, erdogan already controls the police, and he is fast taking over the beraucracy,
so whats left?
the judiciary and the army! (poor guys)
and in a couple of years the composition of the court will change,
which means that he will put the judiciary also under his control,

add to this
the masses,
one of the two businness groups,
and the EU....

i think thats enough to scare the shit out of the kemalists.

well, he is getting pretty powerful.
