Not meaning to pry Liza, are you English or of Cypriot origin. Just wondering how you adjusted to life over there. My wife is GC and we're planning the big move in about 5 years time (can't wait). I'm quite au fait with Cypriots so I don't anticipate any massive culture shock, but wondered if you came across any difficulties?

It's not an easy adjustment - you really do need to give it a few years, but when you weigh up the the pros and cons I think you'll find life just alot more laid back - and safer!
I remember being cooped up indoors most of the time in the U.K. If you've got kids as well you'll really appreciate the outdoors life that Cyprus has to offer.

Cool, thanks Liza. Since both my wife's family and my own parents live in Cyprus I should have a pretty good support network... wish we could go sooner, totally fed up with the UK personally.

Moosey, I totally agree with Liza on this one. I lived in the UK for 18 years and I would n't move back for anything.
It does take time but its really worth it.
Good luck with your move and hope the 5 years pass quickly for you.

I'm sure with all the parents already being here you'll have no problems, and you sound like a really open minded easy going sort of person, that really will help with the adjustment. We should have a Cyprus Forum get together when you and brother finally come over.
