Anybody knows where in Cyprus I can find brand name protein supplements at reasonable prices or any online store that delivers in Cyprus with low cost shipping?

Thanks purdey. I will call them and see what they have and in what prices. I know one in Limassol but it has very limited stock and not good prices. I guess gyms should bring them also but my gym doesn't bring anything good.

Sotos if you know the exact type that you want, I can perhaps get it for you from the UK, and send them. :D

Let me know. I really don't mind. I frequent Health Stores which stock them.

But you do know they are bad for you in the long term, right :?

Thanks for the offer Oracle but I will need a constant supply of it that is why I want to find a shop. Why are they bad in the long term? I am talking about pure protein. Protein is in most foods we eat so it can't be bad. I am not going to overdose on it ;)

Well there are many companies that you can order online from, but the long term health risks are associated with unbalancing a normal diet.

I remember from lectures that there were various conditions which were exacerbated by a high protein diet such as kidney failure and Gout.

My own research uncovered a particularly worrying effect on cells, and it has been published with follow up research being continued by other groups. Without giving you any more details (unless you want a PM), based on these observations, I would not have more than 20g protein per day.

As a general rule, if you ate more protein than you used up, it would still be converted to fat anyway, not just extra muscle.

Don't you think that just 20g protein makes an unbalanced diet? From what I read protein should be between 30-40%.
