In that case forget it ~ I doubt very much if you will be able to register your car in Cyprus if it has come into the island via an illegal port .
So sell it and buy one here .

My advice would be sell it and buy here.
We brought our car with us and customs insisted we had to pay duty (CY£21,600 at the time!) despite it was just over 6 months old and had 6k miles+ and part of our transfer of permanent residency.
18 months later and MUCH to-ing and fro-ing it was sorted and is now on Cyprus plates.
A whole lot of hassle really!
