Wrong my friend. There have been negotiations between Makarios and Denctash in order to solve the issue. So there goes your lies.

Until 1974, did you, never mind treating them as equal

While TCs as individuals are equal to GC individuals, the 18% of TC minority is not equal with the 82% majority. Simple maths and basic democratic principles which you are trying to change by means of brute force and crimes.

But since you are talking about this issue let me ask you something: for the 3+ centuries when you ruled Cyprus did you ever asked the native people of Cyprus what they want for their own island? No, never. You were happy to undemocratically impose your rule by force, and this is what you have tried to do in 1963, and this is what you are trying to do today.

you are still in wrong truck ......

who has done the 15 july coup ? EOKA B you can say .....

Who were they GC's ....... Why you didn't stopped them ......

Without local support no such a organisations will live ..... There was a great support from GC's .....And aim was Enosis .............

TC's were Cypriots as like you , you have no rights to do Enosis without they are will .ROC was only way to stop this bloody idea but you never stopped wanting more and more .

And this Bananiot is our major difference. Nations are not abstract forms, they have two material elements- territory and populations, the abstract part follows these. Settling the territory first puts a limit on future claims, clears the British base issue, apportions natural resources, minimises property claims. Additionally it takes into account possible future developments, ie a possible break up of the federation, so as to (at least) prevent a territorial dispute from complicating the problem.

To give a small example- the presence of the Dhekelia base which cuts the GC area in two. So basically there is one contiguous TC area, and TWO GC areas split in two by what is essentially foreign land. Geopolitically this is nonsense, and cannot be allowed to happen. Not understanding the potential problems such a small and seemingly innocuous detail means that we are inviting trouble much worse than the events of 1974.

You can hire constitutional law consultants at any time to work out the government arrangements, territory is forever.

Halil,

Don't you have Enosis with Turkey now? The money is Turkish, the economy underwritten by Turkey, 35000 soldiers permanently there, more settlers than TCs. All this does not amount to Enosis? And to add insult to injury you have Taksim with it at the same time. So what is this talk about Enosis when you know we resisted it, while you have actually done it.

The northernmost boundary of the Akrotiri SBA should ideally fall south of the Limassol-Paphos motorway. At the moment it juts northward to encompass about a five mile stretch of this major thoroughfare. While not actually cutting GC territory in half, should circumstances emerge which made the SABs inaccessible, this would seriously disrupt transport links between Limassol and Paphos.

Tim,

good observation, but this is exactly what the British want. To fragmentise the GC so that in case of any troubles we can be cut off from each other. Good master plan I give them that, but the bases have to go, this the 21st centuary and there is no need for them any more.

They are not his lies Piratis. Halil has merely posted another TCs statement. You will object to that too, but who cares. You will object to anything which does not fall in line with your own propaganda.

Halil, are you aware of how many coups happened in Turkey? Maybe we should ethnically cleanse 1/3rd of the Turks to punish them because coups happen in their country?

As far as Cyprus becoming part of the free Greek state this is something that is our right. How was it fine for Cyprus to be part your empire against the will of the great majority of the Cypriot people, but it is not fine for Cyprus to be part of Greece which is what the great majority of Cypriots want?

I tell you what mate. The Greeks in Constantinople don't want to be part of Turkey. So how about Constantinople to become an independent state where Turks and Greeks share power 50/50 and Greece maintains troops in it to protect the Greek minority there. After all it is Greeks who created that city. Do you accept?

The hypocrisy of the Turks is beyond the limit of this world. When they are the majority of a place, not only the want majority rule but to their minorities they don't even give their basic human rights. When they are a minority in a different place, not only they forget about majority rule, but they want their minority to have a hugely disproportionate amount of power.

In principle, I want all foreign troops out of Cyprus, including my own country's. However, getting rid of the British bases is going to be a tall order. On the other hand, moving the Akrotiri SBA border to the southern edge of the motorway would represent a miniscule loss of British sovereign territory and might well be achievable.

Pirates says :Halil, are you aware of how many coups happened in Turkey? Maybe we should ethnically cleanse 1/3rd of the Turks to punish them because coups happen in their country?

Pirates really you are very funy man . None of my business if Turkey has coup or not .
If some one tries to spoil my living that time it is my business to speak or try to stopped them .
İn Cyprus Eoka man tried to destroy my rights than i have right to protect myself and my life .
What was the aim of the coup in Cyprus ?

Again Pirates says :

No pirates , you have no rights to say that Cyprus was independent
country . TC's and GC's were equal partners.
At 60's there was no empires left in the world .wake up , wake up mate also we are at 2008 now .
Things are not like the way you think .Cypriots wanted to be part of the Greece . You mean Greek Cypriots .

Turkey or Greece are independent countries none of them has got rights to ask about their minorities in they are own countries for protection as you are claming for İstanbul . Lozan and zurich agreements are there .
also it doesn't bother for me .
What bothers for me , my rights in Cyprus that's all .
and our strugle is to get my rights back . Not the way you thinking .

have a good day and good dreams about empires :!:

Halil, Piratis cant help it. Always 'barking up the wrong tree' or ONLY thinking of GCs interests and NOT TCs too. That was Hasturers message but he does not give a damn.
