I do not think that "serious discussion" is within your capabilities.

Mr Achilles

As much as it pains me I must retract my comment

Still, what motivated your Roman spirit, Mr. suetoniuspaulinus, as for you to retract a rather unfortunate and definitely unfair comment?

Mr Achilles

When you are wrong you are wrong. Admit it. It's the right thing to do.

I was wrong publicly and so I felt the right thing to do was to retract my assertion publicly.

Mr Kifeas was actually the key motivator since he politely pointed out the error of my ways.

Whilst I disagree with both of you on a regular basis and will clearly continue to do so in the future, I also believe that a person who wants to be taken seriously should therefore treat others as seriouslyand not malign them using a false argument. Sorry if it's a bit complicated but it's how I feel.

Mr. suetoniuspaulinus,
Your post was comprehensible and easy as pie...
I am looking forward to our future, hopefully constructive, close encounters.

Hello Mr Murtaza

I'm pleased you found my response amusing but unfortunately as you can see I was wrong.

In a previous post I used a famous idiom "every dog has his day" and this proves it.

I need to be as certain of my "facts" as you are with yours

Mr Achilles

Thank you for your courtesy

I too look forward to a constuctive future of close rounds.

If we don't solve our problems then I believe a "solution" will be imposed upon us.

I am totally certain that we will never agree on eveything. But if we can agree on one thing then its a start. We can at least agree to disagree.

Mr suetoniuspaulinus

Well to make a mistake can be forgiven but to persist a mistake cannot :)
So I hope I can make mistake and admit it like you.
You make best!
I salute you with respect.
I think I should learn from you.

I couldnt agree more. Yet, i need to let you know that my personal gratification would be optimized, if you called me just achilles.
Excessive formalities hardly ever lead to fruitful dialectic outcomes.

Have a good one.
