I read your posts and I feel the same way. I do not come abstractly from the whole of Cyprus, I am a Famagusta boy since that is where I grew up. I was born inside the Nicosia walls and lived there for a short time, yet the place feels alien to me. Actually it seems suffocating with those narrow alleys, just like Florence, guess mediaeval town planning does not do it for me.

Now, given a solution with freedom of establishment, it is obvious to me at least, that people will want to return to the places they feel attached to. And as each place has its own culture and dynamic, it is natural that the situation will get away from the politicians and all those who want to keep things neatly diivided and pigeonholed. Limassolians will get on better with other Limassolians regardless of ethnic background, and the list goes on.

It wil be interesting to see how politicians will attempt to prevent this natural state from coming about.

We shall wait and see Nikitas. Most GCs complain of waiting since 1974. Thousands of TCs have been waiting since 1963. Lets hope the waiting will be fruitful.

Deniz, if I may use a Baseball analogy for your above statement to credit you with, it will be a "Grand Slam Home Run".!!! :D :D

It is the greatest moment in Baseball, when all the bases are loaded and the batter hits the next ball pitched to him out of the park for a Home Run, which brings all the runners home.....4 in total.

It doesn't get any better than that.

You hit one out of the park Deniz. :D :D

They are not getting lost in Mersin, Turkey by any chance, or are they.??

I hope it does not mean that he has seen and done everything in the north, and now does not have anything else to say.!

He's not going to say "Been there, Done that" to us so soon, is he!

I want to know how the Hellim making experience went.!

I also wanted to read more on his leading the witness type of questions he asks the TC's in the north, regarding on their general feelings about the settlement talks.!

He probably is still in shock with the answers he got...That's why the thread has degenerated into simple food talk.

Iceman,

And you had to go ahead and remind him of all the answers he got that he did not want to hear in the first place..!

He'll adjust to the reality in the north by the time he goes back home to the UK.!

I'll be compiling some questions for Zan to ask the locals in the north which will be designed to have "leading the witness" type of questions that is guaranteed to get the answers that Zan wants.

I'll get it done as soon as I have some time on my hands.!

Don't worry about me boys it's just that the Wii Fi in the hotel is down and the one computer for guests is always busy. You are not that important that I will sit in an internet cafe to talk to you   I am now replying to my mail at my sisters apartments so I might not post again this holiday unless the hotel sorts out the problem.

Iceman

Why don't you contact me so we can talk properly. I hope to meet Halil on wednesday so come along. Just don,'t come angry gardas.

Halil

Can you make it during the day please as I have been invited to my aunts to eat in the evening. I have already had to cancel for monday night because my eldest son wants to see the Miss KKTC competition that is at our hotel. One of the girls wants to marry him when he completes his education. Lucky bastard!!!!

Zan the Pinocchio

I only know Real TC's and not the Fake ones that you are now seeing in the north.

I have many friends on the Forum Pinocchio, including you. We just happen to have differences of opinion regarding what is best for the TC's in Cyprus and what form of a settlement is needed, that's all.!!

You have been to Cyprus for few days now, and you think only you can speak the Turkish language.!!

To bad you don't have a Turkish Key Board for your computer, then I will be very impress with your Turkish when you use all the
ç, ü, ö and so on.!
