Referendum

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Mon Aug 11, 2008 8:51 pm

Mate, you can decide your own fate. No problem at all. What you can not decide is the fate of our own cities and villages which you are illegally occupying.

How can Kerinia, fall under your "self-determination" (if you had one) and not under our? If we had separate "self-determinations" then almost the whole Cyprus would fall under our self determination, with the exception of some villages that are TC only or have TC majority.

With "self-determination" you determine the fate of what is yours not of what you stole from others. Get it?

muzzy
VP, don't fall for their back-stabbing, two faced nonsense, as we know 'you can never trust a Greek'! Anyway back to the essence of the debate, a referendum:

- Anybody in possession of a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus passport will be entitled to vote.
- I re-iterate again and from a close source, that were the GC's to again reject a plan to re-unify Cyprus there will be a referendum in the North with the following three options:

1: Exercise the right to self-determination, TRNC/KKTC.
2: Join the Republic of Turkey.
3: Join the RoC as per the London-Zurich Accords.

I also have it on very good authority that our delegation will be insisting on a reference from the UN on the right of the Turkish Cypriot people to decide their own fate in the event of a GC or T/C rejection of a referendum. This is also applicable to any breakdown of the up-coming inter-communal talks, a la Kosovo. Very interesting to note that Downer has stated words to the effect of not wanting the negotiations to drag on for ever. Only the blind refuse see that we're heading towards an end game with only two possible outcomes, re-unification or recognition of the TRNC.

Remove your life jacket and everything will be allright.

well your alreasy telling VP not to trust a GC so what is the point of even contemplating unification? I doubt that VP is that ignorant to take your advise. But just in case he is I have told him before, you people keep threatening for standing opn your own. So give us a division based n right figures and you might have it.

Secondly you have been going for recognition for the past 34 years and you have not got it, so what is the delay. See how far you'll go after this referendum if it does not bring unification.

Join Turkey I don't think........ Do you think Europe will allow part of its territorry to be given to Turkey without a protest, dream again muzzy boy/girl.

You guys have based your sumations on Kosovo. Cyprus ain't another Kosovo. Delay it for a few more years and they're only be 11,000 TC's left on the Island. Segragated as per last 40 years.

Like I said you got 2 options one is unification and trust building with the RoC and all its people or you divide on 18% and remember that argumenat does not hold that much validity given that your percentages are dropping like flies. Am not good with percentages but I think 55,000 into 800,000 is much less than 18%.

Good luck Muzzy with your good first hand authority.

Your only saving Grace might be Downer, having lived in the fascist state he and his Primi Minsiter Howard for the past decade. I can only say they have got a real racist biggoted bastard to take us to negotiations. But the real Christian freak he is I wish you and your crowd good luck.

As far as the trnc passports go, well what happens to the say of the real TC's they are by now outnumbered by you guys the Turks who were shipped into Cyprus for the very same reason, to keep the TC's silenced.
