"I agree with Oracle .....your above comments makes you a "fast food junkie" Nikitas for trying to destroy our favourite past time for most of us that we enjoy trying to get to the kernel in a Pasatempo.! "

Ah yes, there is the slow tempo thing, which you lose if you buy shelled seeds, but...... you do not get the salt. And I hate salt. I just eat the shelled ones slowly.

Have you noticed how all seeds that need shelling seem to be addictive? Once you start you cannot stop?.

Hello iceman ....

I always thought it was derived from "passe tempo" meaning "pass the time", since that is primarily why they are eaten.
