Sevgul Uludag honored

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Sevgul Uludag honored

Postby Nikitas » Thu Jul 24, 2008 3:20 pm

Could not decide wheter this item belongs in the Cyprob or the general section.

Sevgul Uludag has been honored as woman journalist of the year, along with two other women journalists, by the International Womens Journalists Association (I may be mistranslating the title from the Greek) for her work on missing persons.

She was interviewed on the BIZ programme of RIKSAT and as always she was powerful with her factual and straight reporting of events surrounding the missing persons from 1974. She and Sener Levent are the two leading journalists of Cyprus, in my opinion.

Absolutely!! She writes on a regular basis for our local paper - she is unbiased, and compassionate - a rare combination for Cyprus.

My hearty congratulations as I feel she deserves this honour.

She does an admirable job in helping to highlight the necessity for Freedom of Speech within the Turkish community.

Thanks for your response to this ladieswork O. The last time it was different if I remember rightly. Sevgul Uludag is definitely a brave lady. She deserves our admiration for all she has brought to light re: the missing and the murdered.

We definitely need more Cypriots like her.

Tess

She is indeed and offers hope to people such as my self in enforcing our belief that we are not just voices in the wilderness.
My warmest congratulations to this wonderful Cypriot.

Are you her spokesperson?

Your memory is one of many failings; your erroneous assumptions and judgemental nature as to what I say, perhaps more.

Kindly do not trash this thread and resist your desire to monopolise!
