Beware of a Greek Cypriot middle age man with a Russian woman , according to him his wife ....left him !!
He stayed in my apartment for 4 months having paid ONE months rent only , no deposit just one months rent.Kept promising that his money is just around the corner then he cleared off !!!

I am a teacher currently working in China. We have 2 young children, 2 & 3 years old. We are looking for somewhere to rent in Limassol from the end of June to 22nd August while we look at purchasing a flat in Limassol. I have worked in Limassol at Foleys School which I left over 3 years ago and obviously we know the area. I can give references from Limassol or my current employer.

miltiades, join the club... i had same story twice but with a bunch of Romanians. Never rent a flat without a deposit, 1 month delayed = come and change locks. Cocksuckers.

This last guy gave my son in law a cock and bull story that his pay cheque was stolen and that until a new come he could not pay the deposit , in the meantime as weeks went by more sob stories , his wife left him , he was incidentally living with a Russian woman half his age !! and that he was in receipt of state benefits that somehow got delayed . Eventually after being pressed to pay his rent he promised to do so on December 3oth. My son in law went to collect arrears only to find apartment vacated !!

I'm sure he will do the same to someone else right this minute he must be conning someone else.
Amongst the tenants I had was a Scottish couple who were excellent , a Russian couple who also were excellent , a Polish couple who paid their rent on time but destroyed the flat and the furniture too , they were always on the piss , allowed their little 5 year old girl to use the living room and bedrooms as a toilet , they themselves lived like pigs , the entire flat had to be re furbished , floors changed , new bedding and furniture.

I also had 2 couples of Romanians sharing , they too did a runner ....

Shit....I must consider myself lucky.....I.ve got an apartment in the same area and have had no problems with my tenants the last couple of years. Must say that the first tenant got awat with one month of rent. If I hear someone needs an apartment I will PM you with the details.

My other apartment in the same block has now become available to rent , although still a 3 bedroom apartment has an additional toilet a very large veranda facing the sea and in excellent order having had all the flooring changed into parquet , with new Italian leather furniture , new beds and accessories , now offered to rent for 850 Euros per month.
Large kitchen diner with new Gas cooker and new Washing machine . Plenty of storage available and has its own covered parking space.
