New Scientist wrote:Circumcision is one of the less painful forms of mutilation, but it is also less effective at reducing sperm competition. Wilson suggests, however, that the lack of a foreskin could make insertion or ejaculation slower, meaning brief, illicit sex is less likely to come to fruition and lead to a pregnancy.

So perhaps in those cultures which practice male circumcision ... this may be the underlying reason why.

Affairs are less likely to lead to fathering i.e. pregnancies and evidence.

Hence an exercise of Free Will by man, against the drives of nature ....

however, that the lack of a foreskin could make insertion or ejaculation slower

I would have thought this would be a welcomed news to all women, that the circumcised men do not experience premature ejaculation and that they can make intercourse last just a little bit longer than the rest.!

Keeping the reasoning within the confines of the discussion at hand  .

.... slower sex may lead to greater risk of discovery.

Hence in that case, circumcision would reveal more affairs in a society that was less tolerant of fooling around.

(Would love to speculate on more fun matters Kinky-pu, but I've just had a heavy lunch  )

Couple of years ago, I saw a BBC documentary which talked about sex and males in different animal and insect kingdoms, which the males would do all they can to remove sperm left by another male from the females, or deposit theirs to get to the egg first soon after the last male "paid a visit" to the female. This may indeed explain why men have affairs, because the very basic animal instinct is to mate as well as eat for the purpose of the species to survive. I know we have passed that stage of our evolution, but perhaps our "sexual genetic hardwire" has not. The other observation in this documentary was, that animals with the smallest testicles were more likely to have a muck quicker intercourse than those animals with larger ones. Human male testicles are considered to be small in comparison to the rest of their body, therefore, nature intended for human males to "get in and out" as soon as possible, and that the only important thing was, that sperm was deposited as quickly as possible. After all, one's vulnerability of being attacked and killed in the wild, is during "copulation", specially if you are a male spider making it with a "Black Widow" spider, in which you will lose your head for a "quickie".

I hope I have helped some man feel better if they fall into the "bham, wham, thank you ma'am" column, and that you women out there where your man is very quick on the "draw", to blame nature, and not him.

PremEj seems to be a problem in the US where, coincidentally, most babies are circumcised at birth. So much for theories.

The subject is really the DIFFERENCE between Turkish Cypriot and Anatolian culture. Is there a difference, and if so, what examples are there of this difference?
