We stopped off at Sark, some years ago, and I had to
row from the yacht to the coast with three passengers to pass one of my sailing qualifications.
I did

.... then we celebrated in a great pub with a roaring fire. It was like stepping into a bygone era.
Someone else rowed us back a few hours later.
I remember the water being particularly sparkly and the Skipper said something about the mineral content there ... but I think I was too relaxed to acquire new facts ...
Yeah Sark is great for a quick stop-over before France ...
