How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Sounds to much like,

There are no Turkish minority in Greece. There are christian Greeks and there are Muslim Greeks...

LOL.....

A better example!
There is no Kurdish minority in Turkey but only Turkish Citizens or mountain Turks. :P :P :P :P :P

Hey man you are preaching to the choir....

I have always supported the rights of Kurds. You can look back and find my posts, if you wish.

And Unlike you, I have never claimed that two wrongs make one right ( you are doing it right now. You are implying to say that Yes. What is done in Greece is wrong but you are doing it to the Kurds).

Are you a Turk, a TurkishCypriot or a turkish speaking CYPRIOT?

This was written by a TC just 2 years ago! Specially dedicated the settler called turkkan who pretends he doesn’t know:

wrote:
T/C are aware of their cultural components. They are as much Turkish as they are Cypriots. They can understand Turkey and Turkish people very well. The funny thing is T/C dont share many typical characteristics of Turkish society. We T/C are very easy-going, pragmatical, negotiatable, warm-blooded mediterranean people while people from Turkey are stubborn, proud, one-track-minded, unnegotiatable and fighting people. If you try to discuss a matter with a Turk from mainland you have to take into account that you might end up being physically attacked or being stabbed!!! Cypriots generally dislike this behaviour and almost 28 years living with the settlers here we learned to keep them out of our private lives. In public everybody tends to treat settlers equally (also because Cypriots avoid being rude to anybodys face) but when it comes to families visiting each other for a coffee and chat we tend to select our friends from Cypriots. (This is also natural as Turks have different culture and tates- they prefer to drink their funny Turkish tea to our lovely coffee for one thing!!!)

Could you give me that T.C's email address? I would like to thank him for representing the whole Turkish Cypriot Community. I am sure he said what every T.C wanted to say.

Who are the north and south Cypriots? I am a gs Cypriot who was born in the north but had in 1974 been expelled by the Turkish army and now live in the south. What should I call my self, a south Cypriot or a north Cypriot?

Sensitive cliches. You well know what I'm talking about. :) Cypriotism, Greek Cypriotism etc.

My grandfather was a tc who spoke very little turkish. That made him a greek speaking cypriot, but the fact that he was riddled with bullets during the 67 attack on kophinou by Grivas, made him a Turk. This was officially endoresed by as Grivas himself when he proudly declared

"I've come to drink Turkon blood"

either that or Grivas failled to realised that grandfather was a greek speaking Cypriot.

As ive asked in another thread, what has happened lately that suddenly makes all of cypriots.

The Turkish Army perhaps?

Exactly! All of a sudden our proud Hellens of Cyprus started loving RoC and their common Cypriotness with Turkish-Cypriots.

Here's a question to all GC members of the forum. Please answer honestly. When you talk among yourselves and when you use the word "Cypriot", what does it usually mean? Doesn't it usually mean Greek Cypriot? How do you refer to Turkish Cypriots? Don't you usually refer to them as Turkos!?

Wake up Kifeas. Before lecturing us who we are and what we are, first realize what your community calls us. Try to change your community's perceptions first and don't worry we'll be more than happy to call ourselves just Cypriots when being a Turkish speaking or Greek speaking Cypriot does not really mean a thing!

Really? You are the ones who want to have permanent racial discriminations. Are you sure that you want to be just Cypriot, and not "super Cypriot" with super privileges and 4.5 times more voting power than the rest?

It is funny when the people that try so hard to separate themselves from the rest of Cypriots in order to serve their own interests on the expense of others, come here and tell us that they would supposedly be happy if they were just Cypriots.

Don't blame GCs for the TC/GC separation. GCs might have a fault in this also, but the ones who have historically tried to promote this separation are the TCs.

How about looking at it this way

English have England
Scots, Scotland
Welsh, Wales

and they are all British.
