CHRISTOFIAS VISION OF NEW CYPRUS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby growuptcs » Tue Jul 22, 2008 9:25 am

Bananiot:

My rights, your right ... just words! In this island, who cared about the rights of the ordinary Turkish Cypriots that were seen as second and third class citizens after 1960? Who cared about the rights of Turkish Cypriots that were forced into enclaves in 1963 when our EOKA boys were boasting of the number of kills they made?

When our head is on the chopping block we remember our rights. Well, nobody is listening and if we want to salvage anything this can be done only through talks, since we all agree that war is not an option.

Bringing up the past to cockblock peace is not politically, or morally correct anymore in Cyprus. You were a pretty sharp tool in the shed in the past with Cyprus Bananiot. Now, I think that your eroding from all the rust that you let accumilate.

WHen have I not respected others rights?

And one more thing, its your f****ing generation that did all this. You were around at the time, the majority of Cypriots were not even born then. What did they do to your perverse logic of judgement? That if we take an eye they are allowed to cut off our entire head? That we are even considered fanatics to ask for justice for that head? That every fortnight a TC gets to control that head because 50 years ago some of your mates popped a few amphetamines and decided to attack the TC community?

You have no idea anymore Bananiot, you have no idea what is good for your kind, and for you country. You have no idea that this generation that has done nothing wrong will not sit idly by while your kind negotiates an unfair and dangerous solution.

Unfair solution means trouble ahead, get that in your 1960's head and allow us 30 year olds to tell you what the future can hold.

Territory, territory, territory! We are doing the Greek dialectic thing with an adversary (Turkey) who is the supreme gepolitician. We are building our own trap and trying desperately to get in it. We are masochists of the strangest kind.

This view that the system or style of future government is the primary factor is nonsense. We all know that practicalities on the ground will determine whether the theoretical right to return will be realised.

First let us settle the territorial issue in terms that the whole world will recognise as fair, and that unfortunately means footbal terms, that is how the world works. And also on lines that enhance defence and strategy and AFTER we figure this out then we can talk about systems of government and all that stuff. In short the Bizonal aspect must be discussed and solved first, on its own, before we go on to discuss the Bicommunal and Federal aspects.

Failing to do this will mean a price to be paid, and soon.

Hear hear!

The older generation should obviously be allowed to correct the wrongs of the past. But at the end of the day the younger generation (on both 'sides') are the ones who will live with the solution... so it's only fair to say that they should have the final say.

I also think the younger generation in general*, much thanks to travelling, the Internet and possibly even lived/studied/being raised in other countries (thus being products of different schooling systems) are less prejudiced and have more open minds and are also more willing to see others as equals.

*Excluding those that have been too 'brainwashed' by those of the older generation who are members of groups who simply doesn't want a fair and balanced solution.

Years of enclavement without even running water; embargoed even of infant medicine before the Turkish army set foot on the island + before the TRNC was established + before GCs called themselves "refugees"; subjected to constant terror/murders/abuse without a single GC arrested for these crimes while the government called itself (and the world too for that matter) "legitimate"; kicked out of the government and denied access unless yielded to the abolishment of our constitutional rights; watched our country, RoC, turned into a "Greece wannabe"... and we finally manage to carve out a piece of land (while you were trying to settle scores about the best way to hand Cyprus over to Greece) where we could walk on the street without having to constantly watch our back...

While you have been bitching and moaning for the past 34 years because a portion of your community had to relocate 2 hours of driving distance (at most in many cases) to the South where you lived under a GC adminstration that usurped all the political and trade benefits of an internationally recognized state... not to mention the millions if not billions of dollars of reconstruction credits, compensation and aid you received from foreign countries/institutions (something which we never got at any point from any institution and/or country other than Turkey for our sufferings and losses) for your 2 hour drive... and not to mention that we are ready to compensate you for even more while you diplomatically show us the middle finger whenever we pronounce the word "compensation" at any political medium.

What head, what eye are you talking about - you got the whole body! We are trying to survive on the hat and now you want in on that too.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Murataga once again requires all GC's to say one very big thankyou to the 40,000 Turkish invadng soldiers for overseeing the suicide of 1000's more GC's than TC's were ever killed and for looking after our land while we all stayed at the Hilton Nicosia.

By the way those 2 hours felt like a couple of minutes actually. Surprising how fast you can run when you're being chased with napalm. Shame about the old folk not keeping up but...Hey! What the hell! Who needs old people anyway?

If you ask my mother in law who was a doctor during the invasion she'll also tell you how many abortions she carried out of young girls after the invasion. Those naughty little minxes, having summer romances with those handsome turkish soldiers while their father was getting shot. tsk tsk tsk

Do me a favor and ask her how batallions and regimets of "handsome" Greek soldiers were firing roses and magnolias from their Czech machine guns to innocent TC civilians when no Turkish unit was on the island. Ask her about the innocent TC kids, women and elderly who had their guts sticking out she stitched up when no Turkish soldier was on the island and ask her how many TC kids, women and elderly she helped to dig out of the mass graves of Murataga, Sandallar, Taskent and etc afterwards...? Ask her how medicine cures TC kids` lives that were ruined and are being ruined due to lack of proper education and devastating economic conditions because their fathers refused and still refuse to sell out their future to GC demands? Ask her how many babies and elderly she treated that went ill and died for living years in tents with no running water, without proper medicine and without decent food? Ask her how she plans to cure generations of my peoples` suffering of death, embargo, poverty and unemployment because they refused and still refuse to yield on their rights while you fart through silk in the South.

What we're playing poker tragedy..As we say in Greek En eshis Ypothesi!

You lose hands down simply on numbers in this sick little game of yours. I CALL all the poor souls you listed above and raise them with one of your napalm bombs landing on the Nicosia General Hospital...I have pictures if you like.

DOes this make you feel better?
