Turkish Cypriots celebrate 34th anniversary of Peace Operati

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Pinnochio Zan back at his fibbing best within a few hours of returning and if that weren't enough he feels that the deaths of 6000 of his fellow Cypriots is a matter for celebration. Get out of here and good riddance.

I'm sure you don't need me to make a list of all Mama Turkiye's attempts at ethnic cleansing and genocide as well as her track record of human rights violations. These are the actions of barbarians, not honourable people.

Maybe 'honour' has a different definition in a Turkish dictionary.

It seems that only the Greek version is talented enough to change as to who it is referring to.     Alexander the saint comes to mind...

Oh right, so it's okay for Turkey to commit crimes in the modern age because the ancients committed similar crimes? So much for progress and evolution. Neve rmind, maybe in a few thousand years you might catch up to the twenty-first century.

I was being hidden in the bathroom at the age of three waiting to be murdered by Greeks and you have the cheek to tell me of ancient wrongs...   What a crock of shit!!!

You mentioned Alexander, not I. I have at no time stated that Turkish Cypriots didn't suffer. We all condemn the Greek Junta and the EOKA B extremists. Our differences arise because some of you think we all want to murder you, even those of us who weren't even alive then just because those people did.

I take exception to the events of the invasion because there was no need to kill innocent people by the thousands and no need to displace hundreds of thousands more. I take exception to the fact that people are still spouting lies and propaganda to cover those actions. And I take the greatest exception when I get people laughing about how secure they are living in other people's homes in the 'TRNC'.

Well...You are talking to a guy that does not think that the ordinary person wants to kill me but those in power and are also ex-EOKA that do. I am in the UK because I to am displaced by the Greeks and Makarios in 1964 but all I hear from you guys is what happened in 1974. The propaganda from the Greek side about blaming the TUrks for the entire 6000 dead is something else that you should take exception to and the fact that thousands were killed before Turkey even set foot on the island. The fact that the GCs are living in a free area whilst we have been under siege since 1963 is something else that you should take exception to.

You sir are one of the minority in thinking like that. Just look through some of these threads and its full of 'TRNC' extremists claiming that we want to slaughter them and the only way they can be safe is in a partitioned state with 40,000 troops to protect them.

I don't know how long you've been away from this forum, but you should see the amount of extremist and partitionist crap that gets spewed here, to the point where there are people that do nothing but reprint propaganda stories and YouTube videos ad nauseum.

The Republic of Cyprus has apologised for the deaths of Turkish Cypriots and we all condemn the Junta and EOKA B. But we don't get a reciprocal apology, even for the sake of appearances.

Some of those people may still be in government but they're dying out. even the days of Clerides and Denktash are long gone.

Nobody wants Turkish Cypriots to live under siege but we can't let the island be partitioned. For every one of you that says 'lets find a way to unite', five more jump up and say 'no we want to stay as we are'.

Who are we supposed to listen to? And what difference does it make who we listen to if Turkey is pulling the strings?

I am no different to the others saying that we are not wanted in Cyprus but you have to understand that we fear those in power and the likes of some on this forum and others that say the same thing. You are wrong when you say that we have not apologised for the deaths of the innocent but we have to defend ourselves when we are accused for killings that we have not committed and for troubles we did not instigate. I can also say the same of the one person that I have met that says we must unite in a fair fashion and sixty that jump up and say that the island is solely Greek.

After over 40 years of stagnating and being double crossed by the GC admin and by the rest of the world we have finally started to get somewhere in the TRNC and people can find jobs and make a bit of money....Are you surprised that some now want to stay as they are. It was not until maybe 1o years ago that we stopped sending clothes and money to Cyprus for my family and friends Now they seem to be doing well enough to look after themselves...Where were you when they were suffering the Embargoes???

It has been the policy of the GC administration to ignore the plight of the TCS and concentrate on Turkey because it makes them look good.
