Anyway, a friend of mine dropped from new zealand these days in cyprus and he can't connect to 3G. Legitimate new zealand carrier phone number & settings but he can't browse the net. Seemed weird to me although data packages-settings may differ when you visit other countries, so this must be the reason why he can't.
I may get one shortly...hopefully...at last!

It's called PhotoSwap. You open it, take a picture with your phone and it swaps yours with one that someone else has just taken....might sound lame but you can reply to pictures and I've ended up having conversations with people through pictures.

And if that gets boring you just go into MS Word and write people nice messages like I do...

i do believe her yes lots of countries sell the iphone 3g unlocked now.
ur right it is very hard to find wifi spots in nicosia, though lots of ppl i know use cafes wireless and their neighbours wireless just depends where you are. but saying that at uni i its supposed to be free but my iphine wont connect to the wifi at uni for some reason with the iphone only with lap top...
why pay lots of money and connect with the 3g??
