he needs to unlock it. apparently online they are trying to crack it. has anyone done it yet?

Hi I know I may be treading on thin ice here but I quite like the samsung i900 Omnia 16GB. Can someone tell me the pros and cons about this phone and if the ones sold by Technika work OK in Cyprus

Are there any sites to download games/applications for this phone?

Does this phone need firmware updates? How and who can do this in Cyprus?

some very good apps from app store, i also have VLC player and nes and snes emulator with a video and voice recorder program from Cydia there is so much the iphone can do, like taking screen shots i love that feature, take one lets see ur springboard.

plus 2.2 firmware is going to be released on the 14th i hope they make major changes and add something really good like the jump from 1.1.4 to 2.0 with App store and the jump from i think 1.0.2 to 1.1.3 you where able to move around the icons, what i also like about it is how itunes backs everything up ur settings to how they where so if u decide to upgrade then you can put the settings contacts txt messages how they where before no harm done

I haven't jailbroken mine yet so I don't have the installer.app or anything like it on the phone....YET!

I've heard it can void your warranty, is it true?

Can't wait for 2.2 either, I read that Safari is getting a makeover, but no copy and paste I don't think, which sucks...but you never know, it may make it on there. Apparently you'll also be able to turn auto correction OFF when typing messages, and also be able to use emoticons...Plus Google street is coming onto the map app, which allows you to view streets at ground level!

Anyways we'll find out soon enough, only 2 days to go.

Hey Dangaman, I've played about with the Omnia. I wasn't really impressed but I'm not a big fan of Samsung anyways. Plus the phone feels like Samsungs answer to iphone which I didn't like. They should of made it their own instead of trying to compete. It has a lot more features than the iphone and a better camera though.

No unlock yet no you can use sim solutions but I'm told they are not good to use like turbo sim

the official carrier in england is 02 they have pay as you go i think with 3g now. but there is no unlock program there are many adds claim that there is and want money but you will end up with a broken iphone if you pay for that. because there is no unlock .. www.hackint0sh.org keep checking there for updates, or learn about turbo sim but with that you have to cut the sim card and its advised not to use sim solutions

No one here seems to wanna jailbreak on this forum lol
but i dont like my iphone without jailbreak lol well you can do so much more when you jailbreak, though now with the 2.X firmware installer pretty much has nothing on it apart from callerID which we need in cyprus still, mostly people use cydia now which they both do the same thing but have both installed anyway,

jailbreak you can do so much more like enter the phone from the pc and edit files on the iphone put mp3s as ringtones you can use winterboard which is for themes for the iphone allows oyu to change the icons which i will show oyu my screen shots i made my own theme..and changed boot logos instead of the apple i have a penguine in a apple syaing think linux lol and the arrow saying slide to unlock i changed to a zip, just small things but also big things like winterboard, saying that most my apps are from app store . but sshing means u can dl the pay for apps in app store and crack them to ur iphone heh.

but yes jailbreaking and/or unlocking the iphone will void the worranty not just jailbreak but unlock to but if oyu ever have a problem you can virginise the iphone and take it back so they cant see you jailbroke it.. ive not had a problem so far touch wood.

you can already turn off the auto correction in the options... i know why you need it off though when you write turkish messages you get annoyed because it keeps changing the word to something english right?;

but at the moment there is the turkish language in the options so you can actually write and use the turkish letters on the keyboard if you want if that will make it easier for you but most here in cyprus south use english and type greek mybe you guys do the same.. but you can already turn it off.

i wont be able to upgrad as soon as there is 2.2 bceuase i have to wait for an unlokc program before i can which sucks and i am a vista user mac users always get the unlock program first ( pwnage ) i really want a mac lol maybe ill tell my teacher at uni to let me use hers. my friend in lemeso has one to but ill probably end up waiting for the windows version
