Your prayers have been answered ... If the other forum had not deleted so much of you ... maybe they would have Googled up instead of us.

Purdey how does it feel to be the bait ....

"Foot and shot"? Ya lost me.
Is that some sort of British expression? Sounds like it.

I mean rifles without being in the army reserves. :D

By the way, here in America the full auto are used for sport on occasion. 8)

Last time I was in Cyprus I remember seeing the shotgun club stickers. I heard about the popularity of the sport and it made me wonder something else today. Does Cyprus have an Olympic pistol shooting team?
I guess pistols are not allowed in Cyprus (officially  ).

I have an air-pistol too :P According to the Limassol Shooting Club there are air-pistol competitions. http://www.shootingclub.org/?pageid=14 I don't know if we have an Olympic team for them but I never heard of any victories from such sport.

Learning British phrases and slang is like learning a new language; tis all Greek to me.
Sorry if I do not have enough time to learn all the terms you guys use. I am sure there are plenty we use you never heard of either.

I think the Olympic 10m pistol competition is air pistol, but I think the 25m is a firearm.

Thanks for the link by the way.

No problem :) So what were the search terms that you used exactly in google? I don't remember ever discussing gun laws here.

I don't even remember what items I used in the search, but I did come across something in the results about a pellet gun asked about in a thread and how .22 pellet guns are not allowed, but .17 are.
Also something about a permit or license to have a pellet gun? Crazy! Licenses for pellet guns, wow!

Someone in that thread was asking about them because he had a pigeon problem he wanted to take care of.
