"Kin" poems for Turkish domestic consumption and "peace leaflets" for the rest of the world. :roll:

Are these the "peace" leaflets you are referring to?

One thing I don't understand is what the hell does Ataturk have to do with all of this. I and every other TC on this forum share the view that the poem is hideous , but please remember the lives of TC's prior to 74 . As someone mentioned above GC's liked to play the " Bekledim da gelmedin" ( something like "we waited but you didn't come" ) song.

A question for GC's also;

If it wasn't for the events of July 74" , do you think Cyprus would of been part of Greece?

Well, you’re right then, such alleged hatred that TCs have of GCs as based on a single poem means that there is no way the TCs and GCs can ever live together again. For the protection of the GCs they should remain separate as they are now. Partition is therefore the only answer. You keep your two thirds of Cyprus (see TCs aren’t greedy like some…) and the TCs will keep their one third. Peace in Cyprus forever.

Quite honestly every sentiment in that poem actually reflects what the Greeks/Greek Cypriots were feeling about and doing to the Turkish Cypriots up to 1974. Since then the TCs have been safe from murderous Greeks/Greek Cypriots.

You GCs have absolutely no right to any part of North Cyprus, the TRNC. You stole large tracts of land from TCs up to 1974 including the Maras/Varosha and you have convinced yourselves you originate from the ancient Greeks, which you do not, you are a completely different people from them. And you convince yourselves you are the only true indigenous Cypriots, nonsense, you are not. Most GCs came over to Cyprus during the late 19th and 20th centuries as settlers. You lot (GCs) really are delusional.

With regards to statues of Ataturk and the flags of Turkey and the TRNC - yes, to the visitor they may seem here, there and everywhere, but the TC's don't bat an eyelid to these. The majority will no doubt be removed once a solution is reached.

Bill , my answer would be identical to the one given above by 74LB .

Do please remember that we , the G/Cs , have our very own mindless few !! A year or so ago when spending a few days in Limassol , I personally armed my self with a can of spray paint and obliterated some mindless grafity sprawled on a wall in a busy road in Limassol.

Settlers from Greece of course. That's why Enosis was (and still is) so important to them. The point is GCs are no more indigenous to Cyprus than the TCs. GCs are the majority but they already have two thirds of the island, more than enough. All that theft of Turkish Cypriot land up to 1974 and they claim that ALL the land in North Cyprus is theirs. Maras ISN'T, that is stolen land from the TCs, farmland owned by TCs stolen by GCs, changed deeds to make it look as if it had always belonged to them. GCs are being GREEDY. If they really want peace and to live with TCs (ha, ha) then they need to compromise and not expect all of Cyprus. They aren't going to get it EVER.

Well, swearing and rude person, the truth certainly hurts and you can't take it so you resort to filthy language-a reflection of your level of intelligence or lack of.

TCTRNC I’d be interested to know who you think built the ancient Greek monuments on the Island? And all the pre 19th and 20th century Greek Orthodox churches and monosteries?

Turks exist in Cyprus because they invaded our island to expand their empire. So who is greedy? And the TC minority is 18% and they invaded us AGAIN to take 36% of land. So who is greedy? We have been here for more than 3000 years. Turks for 400. Oh, and not all land in north belongs to Greek Cypriots. The 80% of it does. But the 100% of Cyprus belongs to Republic of Cyprus. That is the truth you bloody invader!!
