Phobias

Postby SSBubbles » Sat Jul 19, 2008 11:04 am

A while ago a Forumer did a send up on 'phobias'.

I cannot remember who it was, but I was wondering (in light of so many new members ) if you could come up with any more please as they were really quite funny.

Thanks :)

  Sorry purdey, I was not talking about your thread on crocs!

Someone did a list using other forumers for the 'said' phobia; i.e

Bubblephobia - the fear of posting a funny joke (or something along those lines)

Surely, someone else remembers them too?

I remember the thread but cannot remember the poster. Sorry to go on about Crocs, but please keep them off the streets.
Richard, CL is now a distant memory, unfortunately. I did make a couple of friends, I hope I can contact 'Grandad' who seems to be a nice chap with lot's of interesting info on shooting and WAGBI.

WAGBI! It brings back memories! I thought it was absorbed by BASC, or am I wrong?

WAGBI, wildfowlers association of Great Britain and Ireland, BASC British association for shooting and conservation. In addition to the obvious, they are organizations that did/do a lot of first hand scientific work on game biology and environmental research. Some of their scientists are big names on the international ecological circuit even if most peopel do not know of their hunting background.

You are correct Nikitas. If you require any literature on both groups I am happy to oblige. Sir Peter Scott the well known conservationist, writer, was also a member of WAGBI, a very keen wildfowler, and punt gunner.
Sorry Bubbles, back on topic...
