Erdogan: two separate peoples and two separate states.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Erdogan: two separate peoples and two separate states.

Erdogans interview on the Cyprus problem Turkish Cypriot daily KIBRIS newspaper (01-2.05.05) publishes in two parts an interview of the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the paper΄s editor-in-chief Basaran Duzgun. Mr Erdogan, inter alia, said that their aim is to create a United Cyprus and added: We will support them and work together with the government and the president of the TRNC. Our aim is to protect the interests and rights of our compatriots, as well as to create a United Cyprus, which will be member of the European Union, within the framework of two separate peoples and two separate states.

So what is his difference with Denktash who said the Cyprus problem was solved in 1974?

And in a case of federation, you need at least two states as far as I know.

And Mr. Erdogan, this is exactly the reason why the GCs didn’t do to you the favor to support your solution a la Türka, (read Anal plan.)

Stephanopoulos has the right to say "Cyprus is Greece. We are one nation two states." but when Erdogan says a similar thing; it is the reason saying "no" to "ala-turca" solution plan. Clap Clap Clapé

Exactly! Along the same lines, I wonder what would happen if Denktash said "No single GC got killed in 1974"....just wondering..

No GC gives a damn shit what Stephanopoullos says. We do not decide and act upon what Stephanopoullos or anyone else says. It is none of their business. Can you say the same?

The idea of bicommunal and bizonal federation, if you remember..

In case you have forgetten "bi" means two in English.

May be you speak old Greek where bi means life or alive. :D

Forget the bi-communal, bi-sexual and all the rest of bi’s!
Cyprus is one and only one and belongs to all it’s people!

Bi- sexuals can go to bed if they like!

  So how did he dare making such statements in Cyprus? I'm sure most of the GCs feel proud to hear those words. Thousands of Greek flags in South is the best evidence how you are proud to represent the Hellenism in cyprus.

So why both Greek leadership and GC leadership reaffirms on every occassion that they have a common policy and they have are in full consensus about Cyprus? You are trying to hide the obvious. Most of the right wing GCs which constitutes almost 2/3 of GC community are Hellenocentric and they are happy about the political, social, and cultuaral union with Greece.

Erd-ogan! Go and split your own country if you like. Cyprus is none of your business.

The sooner you realise it the better for your country!
