BELGIUM 'FEDERAL SYSTEM REACHED ITS LIMITS’

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Sotos » Thu Jul 17, 2008 8:55 am

There is a big paradox in Cyprus. The Turks say that they can not live with Cypriots and they want to be separate but they keep importing more and more of their kind in Cyprus! They started this in 1571 and they keep bringing more and more of them from Turkey! If Turks can not live with Cypriots then why did they come to Cyprus? Why do they keep coming more and more of them in Cyprus? They say they can not live with Cypriots but they bring 10s of thousands of their settlers IN Cyprus!?!?! If they can't live with Cypriots then shouldn't they move OUT of Cyprus instead of moving illegally even more of their kind IN Cyprus?? Why don't they move OUT so they can be separate from us as they want and so we can have peace on our island? Is the ferry ticket moving OUT more expensive than the one for moving IN? Those that can not see that the Cyprus Problem is the Turkish expansionism against Cyprus are blind or Turks!

Agios Ionas,
The language that is close to Greek that I was referring to is Cypriot Greek. The similar thing applies to Cypriot Turkish in terms of its relationship to Turkish.

Even best regarding federal system in EU ( founding member of the European Union ) very near to separation. Why? because they are two different social group Dutch-speaking Flanders and French-speaking Wallonia. Otherwise Belgium reconciles regional and cultural identities in a single federal structure.
Yet here in Cyprus we are trying for some sort unification. Not to forget we have language, religion and culturel difference plus we all descended from different nations, that never been a love lost between them and us in Cyprus.

How long this unity or federalizm will last?
When and how we are going to separate from one another after unification of Greeks and Turks in Cyprus?

But it's not right and everyone can see through it. So if the TCs really cannot make themselves accept living with us in Cyprus, I think it is time they faced reality and thought seriously about doing the right thing for once in their history.

Retreat and go back to Anatolia ... all those who cannot live with Cypriots as part of a whole Cyprus.

We don't demand our own space, any more then what we have, we are not so stupid not to know that part of the Cyprus is ours, G/Cs are the ones demanding from T/Cs dear Oracle.

Just remember, the space you have demanded, was never yours to take, and has not been approved as yours for the future.

How much G/Cs will take back is pending negotiations, i never believe TRNC government will keep under they control %37 of Cyprus for ever by all means they will return small amount to Greek south Cyprus administration control. At this point i must point out that TRNC side never deny rightful property ownership rights for G/Cs, otherwise they would not open Property Commission for indemnification which some of G/Cs have receive they ownership back and some receive compensation for they property.

By starting this Topic i was hoping to find a answer to federal system will it work in Cyprus or not, by looking at Belgium experience.

...if there is this desire to repopulate, then it is necessary to consider the addition of enclaves to our geography.

for Turkish Cypriots to administer in the south and as in north for Greek Cypriots.

would you agree soyer?

there is the desire of thousands (Greek and Turk) to return to the Patrimony which is their identity. there are Settlers (and others) which will be displaced in any solution. as victims, while they may be displaced as individuals, as persons they have this Heritance which is not measured in money for their compensation. we have our own legacy to create which will represent our character as members of a wider family of Man.

wouldn't Bizonal make more sense to two Communities if their Jurisdictions were composed of parts island wide, which allows for greater diversity in their own society. which will guarantee our security by eliminating a border while we add to the number of frontiers.
