Cockroaches

Help!We have someone looking after our house in Armou whilst we are in Scotland and they have just 'phoned to say we have a cockroach infestation(red ones).Apparantly there was no sign of them yesterday and they've just appeared today.Anybody else have the same problem and do you know the cause and soloution? :cry:

Lovely animals. Much less noise than dogs.

they are everywhere don't worry, its a seasonal thing... even if your house doesn't have cockroaches they always come from your neighbor :)

8) two things ...Cillit Bang sprayed on them kills them quickly.
Sugar and baking powder mixed together in small quantities and put down near drains etc...they eat the sugar and injest the baking powder which blocks them up inside and kills them. thats the environmental way.

According to PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Rats have Rights. By analogy cockroaches have rights too. So leave the poor dears alone. Or call PETA for a solution.

Many thanks for the replies.Have since had pest control guy in and he's sorted it out.Transpires that they came up through the drains as there has been no water passing through the pipes whilst the house is occupied so best to put plugs in basins,baths and showers if house not occupied.
