Jerry wrote:Delboy, I have posted this before but here it is again for your benefit, it's a diect quote from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London -

Property issues are closely linked to the political situation. There are a number of potential practical, financial and legal implications, particularly for those considering buying property in the north. These relate to the non-recognition of the "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus", the suspension of EU law in northern Cyprus, the possible consequences for property of a future settlement, and the many thousands of claims to ownership from people displaced in 1974. There is also a risk that, as a result of the disputed ownership of many of the properties, purchasers could face legal proceedings in the courts of the Republic of Cyprus, as well as attempts to enforce judgments from these courts elsewhere in the EU, including the UK.
Separately, potential purchasers should also ensure that they are fully aware of the specific rules imposed by the administration on foreigners purchasing property in the north including the requirement to obtain consent to the transfer of property.
So what you are saying is that thousands of foreigners have done no homework whatsoever and wasted their life savings?, quite surprised that you didnt mention your 3 favorite letters , dumb, blinkered racist prick.

No, titoli I'm saying that The Foreign and Commonwealth Office are saying that thousands of foreigners may not have done their homework, I'm not sure how that makes me a racist. Would you buy a car from someone if you were told it may have been stolen?

I hope all the foreign cheapskate, carpetbagging thieves who live on my family's property in the north of Cyprus lose even the shirts on their backs and have to live in refugee camps in the antarctic for the rest of their miserable lives.

Incidentally, dumb, racist, blinkered and prick are words not letters.
I was referring to your three favorite letters that you bring up at every juncture, TMT, twat!

Where have I mentioned TMT?

It looks like your post has been removed, perhaps you should moderate your language
That sums up the Cyprus issue in a nutshell, agree to our version of events or we'll delete you, why not re name this forum to the Greek Cyprus Forum, Pity on you.
