The north is under occupation! By Basaran Duzgun

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

If Pap has not said this, then he should let all concerned know that he was misquoted, otherwise the world will think that he is a liar.

Some-one should bring this interview/web-site to pap’s attention.

Dear Turkcyp,

I don't claim to be all mighty God who knows everything, especially of what is going on in the occupied. I put forward my view for discussion. This means I wanted to hear your counter arguments. Instead all I got from you was sarcasm, that I could not understand.

It would all save us some time if you provided this latest explanation from the very begining don't you think?

Anyway I accept your point as valid.

Yes I did. I mean I took at the face value.

He said “said that their aim is to create a United Cyprus and added: We will support them and work together with the government and the president of the TRNC. Our aim is to protect the interests and rights of our compatriots, as well as to create a United Cyprus, which will be member of the European Union, within the framework of two separate peoples and two separate states.”

How can you have united Cyprus and at the same time two states two people. So you can easily understand that he was not talking about partition or two separate fully independent states. The states he was talking about was two separate states two separate people under one united Cyprus.

It was you who only bolded the “two separate peoples and two separate states” part of the paragraph and completely forget to take into account the “united Cyprus” part.

That is what I have corrected by saying he did not say anything wrong and pointed out that
Two states=bizonal and
Two people=bicommunal.

;)

Who gave the right to Erd-oglan to define what we are in our country and what we want to become. It is none of his business. If he wants to split and reunite his country, he can do it as many times as he wishes. A prime minister of an outlaw country cannot speak on our behalf. The best thing he can do, is to collect his army from our country and get lost before it is too late for him, his army and his country.

Cyprus is one and only one and indivisible. It belongs equally to all its people, the Cypriots. There is only one people in Cyprus, the Cypriots. Among others, there are Greek speaking Cypriots and Turkish speaking Cypriots. There is no Turkish and no Greek Cyprus. Those who do not feel Cypriots and instead they claim to be Greeks or GreekCypriots or Turks or TurkishCypriots can as well live the country because this country belongs only to the Cypriots.

Turkcyp for us this means disguised partition or confederation. The word separate is important and it is not in our interests to have anything even near to what Erdogan is dreaming. We already proved it with our OXI in the Anan Plan. Secondly bizonal for us simply means two regions with no physical borders bicommunal means the excecutive power in each region will be excercised primarily by each community. It does not mean separation of the people, it does not mean separation of the states.

If however this is what you want then the answer is clear. Not acceptable!

The point I was trying to make is that you seem to believe that the Columnist is believes that the north is under military occupation, and he is afraid to call it, and call the thieves and murderers the occupation instead.

Excactly turkcyp, with little effort you got the point.
How do you expect Basaran Duzgun to comment the situation as it is?
Remember the fate of Mr Adali?
