When my Grand parents got married my Grand father supplied the house (it was built on top of his parents house) and my Grandmother supplied all the bed clothes, towels etc. Things she'd been making since she was young with the help of her mother. In fact we still use some of the bed clothes and towels she made today. I just can't believe how many she made, and where she found the time! Her parents were farmers and after she left school she was out in the fields most of the time and when not, helping her mother around the house...'Super women' I think is the best way to describe women of the past!
