I've tried to put together some actual facts about this case based on the evidence that's out there.

But your evidence are from one side only. Do you think Connor would publish anything that wouldn't suit him? I think not. Also with a bit of photoshop it is VERY easy to fake receipts and such things. I think it is useless talking about evidence when you really can not have access to all evidence and the true evidence. Only a court can have access to those. Also about the garden privacy thing. You own ONLY your plot. I could buy the villa next to you, demolish it the next day and build whatever I wanted in it. Only the law could limit me. Not Karyiannas and not the neighbors. If you want privacy then you should buy a whole hill and build your house at the top of it! NOBODY is in position to promise to you privacy when there are other plots around. I think what Connor could have done is 2 things. To ask for his money back. Or if that property increased its price since then to wait until it is finished and then sell it. Or probably he could even sell it before it was finished! He could have made a good profit from this. But I think he choose to blackmail the developer because he thought he would get more profit in that way but apparently his blackmails do not work and he is getting upset!

I understand what you're saying Sotos but I've not seen any evidence from the karayiannis side, only statements and an affidavit. Their own published statement certainly contradicts what was said on the first tape by karayiannis himself about the privacy issue, which is enough to cast a bit of a shadow on their side.
I don't think the voice of Karayiannis could be faked, could it?
Also in the affidavit karayiannis says conor paid the 25,972 on december 16th, which the website receipt also shows so it must be authentic. This is the payment they say in their letter that he didn't pay so they are contradicting themselves.
The affidavit has karayiannis saying he offered repeatedly to give Conor back all his money but their earlier letter to him says they would keep ALL his money for damages in cancelling the contract.
Another tape also shows that Conor in their office offering to take the house anyway even though he was not happy about it. Only two days later they cancel?
I think what prompted the cancellation was the website and threat of more bad publicity, personally I think that if Conor decided in the end to take the house, he should probably have not gone down that road.
I imagine the legal case will rest on whether karayiannis illegally cancelled the contract or not. The privacy issue, or whether they lied or not over it, would probably have no legal basis since it was not provided for in the contract as far as i can see.

Damsi .. why should you see any of Karayiannis evidence?

Why should we see Conor's evidence?

All this should have been left to lawyers and in time it would have been sorted (and NO .. two years does not mean the wheels of justice in Cyprus are too slow ... I know of worse cases in the UK).

We have seen more than enough I think, of what Conor calls evidence.

So please resist from flooding us with Conor's views again ... there are plenty of threads where he has deposited what he wants us to see.. even if they are locked ... you can still read them.

Why I respect Karayiannis (as I do not know him) stems from the fact that despite his business losses, he has conducted himself accordingly IMO, once the matter had been handed over to the authorities.

He hasn't tried to win support for his side.

Conor has behaved like a contestant on Big Brother IMHO.

IMO The only thing we have seen coming out of the Karayiannis side is ONE response to this apparently abusive tirade of Conor's ..

And that is a legal, SBA stamped Affidavit ... which to my eyes is more believable than youtube videos.

Now leaving that aside, as I believe if Conor bothers to turn up in court next time ... that the legal system will complete as necessary.

Where this took a turn for me personally ... and I noticed it a couple of threads ago ... not recently ... which is why I received threats and abuses from a number of Conor's supporters ...

What led to my decision as to the stand I take on this matter was the generalisation and extrapolation of this matter to implicate Cyprus ... and IMO it is tantamount to blackmailing my President and my people and myself.

How much money is someone expecting by apparently blackmailing a whole country?... he told me wanted BILLIONS when I asked him what he was expecting ..... then tried to turn it into a joke because it was a youtube ... but a lot of his other answers came as youtubes .. so no different as far as I can see, and there is no smoke without fire IMHO.

I will not be made to feel blackmailed by having my country defamed ... erroneously, and have it singled out as though it has done anything different to any other country.

I have asked Conor direct questions and he has ignored them. Yet he answered others before and after mine. So he cannot say he did not see them.

He has obviously chosen to ignore my questions. But I don't care ... on those issues silence speaks volumes IMO.

Having experienced the measures Conor will go to, I will add that these are my views and opinions based on what has been conducted on this opinion forum and nothing more.

It would appear that my previous post in response to the above has been deleted, which leaves johnny1's comments unchallanged even though they are totally misleading.
I admit I may have gone a bit strong with my previous reply but would like to point out that I considered myself entitled to take umbrage due to the fact that :-

I have not now, nor never have, bought any property in Cyprus, that property which belongs to my family is now under the illegal occupation of a foreign force and may well be under development without consent of the owners.
Johnny1 is therefore in error when he suggests otherwise and SHOULD pay more attention to details before running off with the mouth.
The fact that HE, along with many others, is prepared to make such sweeping statements, is a clear indication of the blind folly of those who are in such support of Conor's vindictive campaign which may well be riddled with similar inaccuracies.
I think there are too many distortions of facts in this ongoing fiasco, the LAW will decide on who is at fault, NOT the ragged army of inept losers who have sheepishly followed their scheming leader. IMHO (Well I'll be dogged !)

I am disgusted with the foul mouths and personal attacks on both this thread and the other one and will once again complain to admin.
Seeing as you people insisted Conor place a link to this forum from his website I hope that many will see you for the disgusting ignorance foul mouthed bunch of people that you are. It's clear that none of you are able to answer a reasoned debate without resorting to this yob mentality.
Further comment is wasted on you as it's obvious your brains are kept way too far up a dark tunnel to be reached.
Oracle you keep harping on about Conor's MP, everyone knows that MP's deal with local constituencies so are nothing whatsoever to do with EU law.

Lana I take particular exception to comments like this on the forum.
Why do you allow these people to carry on posting?

I think it is becoming apparent that things are not going as Conor may have wished regarding support for his case as presented to us by himself, am I right?.

Get another thread locked Feisty if you wish, but the only bad language I can make out is emanating from Conor's camp of supporters in the guise of Johny1, IMO

Why won't you let Conor speak for himself regarding his MP?

Has Conor's MP dissociated himself (rightfully IMHO, if that be the case) from this sorry affair?

Sorry to interrupt this thread Folks. Oracle, I am glad you deleted your "sorry" thread before I had the chance to answer, because you wouldn't have liked my reply.
