Good evening young O

Now about why Conor left the army ... does anyone have any idea? ... was he thrown out or what ? Did he sue the British Government or what? .. he seems awfully clued up for an ex-squaddie in my opinion from what I can make out.

I've been 'thinking' about this (no sarcasm please my dear) :D

In one of his latter posts on the 'Other'(can we mention it ?) thread

conor talks about not being in a sleeping bag for 20 years

I would estimate conors age to be around 40

So if he has not been in a sleeping bag for 20 years I wonder (considering Army excercises etc )

Imention this because of my own experience having served 15 years and I estimate maybe 2 years of that (at a mininmum) under canvas

What Army and for how long???

JUST BACK IN -- MODERATORS WHY IS THE MAIN THREAD LOCKED?

Of course you got on so well,
You’re like two peas in a pod, maybe even separated at birth.

Sunday within 3 hours of learning of my family’s plight you say
“I think I am going to get a group of Cypriots to come down and piss over you while you sleep”

You are just his kind of person. Best friends forever!
I'm sure you are on his Christmas card list now (if you weren’t already)

I heard his houses are now going cheap. Grab a deal while you still can.
But remember it’s always wise when buying property in Cyprus to check that the land is not mortgaged already. There was a thread on the Eastern Board concerning this issue and Karayiannas Developers of Paralimni.

Conor

PS. Thanks for putting his full name in the title bar for Google to pick up on.

PPS. This document was an answer to someone’s question earlier today and the reason my lawyer supports my action.

The answers to all your questions are online already. Ask Christoforos Karayiannas & Son Ltd for the evidence in their affidavit. I can’t prove what didn’t happen!

Re: army and sleeping bag, I was in the forces, not army but related and I never once slept in a sleeping bag. I was on excercise for most of my time, so maybe the sleeping bag is a none runner folks..

Point taken Mr Purdey Sir

but It would be very very rare in the Army for that to happen

I dont honestly think I know any ex or serving member of the Army who wouldn't have regularly had to use one

But I do stand to be corrected

I have purchased in total 3 apartments in Cyprus as well as helping to purchase the house that my daughter and family are currently residing having moved in after 4 years of building .
I have never , not on one single occasion experienced any problems what so ever either with builders or vendors .I have used one solicitor in all cases and I'm thoroughly satisfied with all involved.

Having had time to study carefully the Conor case I have reached the conclusion that Mr. Conor's objective right now is not to obtain " justice " but to obtain as much financial benefit as possible. I think that he has exhausted all legal means available to him and has focused entirely on his personal crusade against the developers.
It is my opinion that Mr Conor ought to aim for his full deposit to be returned and nothing more .
The developers are highly unlikely to either decline to do so or to offer any type of "compensation" since their position is clear as per their affidavit .
Mr Connor's' "attack" on Cyprus is grossly unfair since his complain is with the said developers and not with the entire Cypriot nation whose name he is currently busy defaming.

The sleeping bag issue is beyond me .... I only use them for camping and not politics

Since Conor has resurfaced maybe he can answer my much dodged question of whom might be his MP?

Conor who is your MP?

IMHO most squaddies would be out at least 6 weeks a year on field excercises (manouvers) during that time the would be sleeping usually under canvas so would use a sleeping bag.

conor says he has not used one ( a sleeping bag) for 20 years

So my point was how long and in which army
