I used to live in Stony Stratford, a gorgeous village near Milton Keynes and it had/has at least four Indian restaurants (most of which were excellent), several Chineses and a fabulous Malaysian. No need to drive to Coventry nowadays (although I used to live there too...many a drunken curry was had......and I also lived near Long Melford during the 'Lovejoy' days!).
Aah, the roundabouts of Milton Keynes (where else can you drive from one end of the town to the other at a legal 60mph?)...I miss them
...infinitely better than the sensor-less traffic lights of Cyprus
. Many's the time I've been sitting at a red light waiting for absolutely nobody. Traffic lights are one of the worst inventions ever, and roundabouts are one of the best (except the
Roundabout of Death on Makarios Avenue in Limassol. You know the one I mean).
Anyway, anyone know of a decent curry restaurant in Limassol? No, not Calcutta - I don't like Tyne Brand reconstituted meat derivatives in gravy. I've also tried the little take-away on the new port road roundabout and the one on the seafront road - the Taj or something - not bad, but I wouldn't go back. But fed up with having to drive all the way to Dekelia!
Nothing like sticking to the original point of the post...
