What do you understand by having a soul, and do you have one?

Yes, I've got one and it's in pretty good condition though it could probably use a bit of a polish. My soul is the essence of my being, the source of my emotion and the reason why I will live forever.

Do you nurture it and how?

I think I do, mainly by taking a step back sometimes and trying to remember that I exist beyond my immediate surroundings and whatever current challenges I am facing. Sometimes it's all too easy to get caught up in the small things and we forget that we exist as part of a much bigger world. I think of it as zooming out to see the bigger picture instead of just the foreground. I could probably use a big dose of vitamin church though.

The soul is the essence of life and is therefore in all living things.

I don't know, I'm a complex individual. I'll start with a nice GC girl, good sense of humour and preferably a non-smoker. Looking like Angelina Jolie guarantees progress to the shortlist but is not essential. Must hate Jazz.

You mention "vitamin church" ... is that because a soul is only part and parcel of religion?

What about us atheists .... do we not have a soul?

I think I prefer to think of our individual human "spirit". That's not spirit in any religious sense. This might also be a workaround for the atheists amongst us.
