The perfume I described gets to me for some reason, but I never could muster the nerve to go up to the women who wore it and ask what it is. And no, I do not want for me! For a present. I make my own after shave since they stopped the original Carven vetiver. Most perfumes and aftershaves smell like a combination of cut grass and fly killer.

How many times do I have to tell you 'Chanel No 5'?

Be brave, just ask the woman wearing it. Believe me, any woman worth her salt would be honoured to be stopped and complimented by a gentleman! Good luck in your quest :)

Are you talking to me? (I sound like De Niro in the Taxi Driver I know, but how did you think of that question? Mind you I do keep a little file of adcopy, ideas that come to me now and again for adverts. Zany stuff for a laugh.

Nikita mou,

Next time you smell it; just go with your instinct and say the first thing that pops into your head! You may be pleasantly surprised by the response 8)

Purdey,

I work in the media, you can guess what area. I thought of doing copy writing for advertising in the past but I just could not fit in with the crowd, guess I do not eat enough quiche. Maybe when I retire I will take all my zany ideas and start peddling them.

Bubbles mou, I will definitely do it next time I come across the scent. I foresee some dirty looks (especially if the woman is younger) if not worse. I mean it does sound like a pick up line "excuse me maam but your perfume, it is intoxicating, can I ask the name?" Yikes, it even looks creepy now that I read it.

Questions for the ladies.

1. My mother likes a perfume called "Panache" but I can't seem to find it anywhere , even though the deodorant form is quite popular.

2. What is the difference between "EAU DETOILLET" and "PERFUME" ?

You will find that "EAU DETOILLET" is the New Scent created by "The House of TALAT".

Yup, I've seen it in Duty Free ..... Eau de Toilet de Talat!

No one seemed to be sampling it though; must be hard to gain recognition in the currently flooded market! :?

Eau de toilette is an alcohol base with a little bit of the scent. Perfume is more concentrated and has a base that will keep it on the skin longer. The former is less expensive than the latter.
