Should have added the Snake loves heavy metal music, Is fluent in German and English and answers to the name 'Oh mein Gott, mein Englische Cousin, ist es so groß'

Just noticed this ... life resuming normality (for now!)

I'm till trying to upload that photo, but camera keeps wanting to transfer all the photos and keeps jamming after about 150, and the snake is at about 320 ...

Still ... after further discussion now that adrenaline is neutralised with "Village Red" ..... German cousin-in-law thinks it was a young one of the "safe" rat-catching big black snakes which is why it was grey and had diamond pattern

I am sure it was not blunt-nosed viper, as we literally nearly touched noses and his was not blunt! .... and I wish mine was shorter!

I don't think it was a whip snake as it S-slithered away too smoothly ... no darting.

Cypriot cousin from Australia still thinks it deserved to die and went off to have a long bath to clean herself from having been as near as two-rooms away shouting instructions .... "kill, kill, strooth , kill!"

I can definitely hear some background noises .. maybe it's my ears still ringing
