These are the actions of governments. What does Joe Public actually do when he hears of things like this? Nothing. It's the same for any case you can think of. When people lose their homes from typhoons or earthquakes, we see the disaster and feel sorry for the people, but not many of us give to a charity or go and help the victims. Again, it's not a lack of awareness, it's a lack of willpower to do anything because it's not 'our problem'.

The world knows about the Cyprus Problem. It's just that the world doesn't want to help because it has it's own problems.

What makes you think the world knows about the Cyprus problem? We know about Zimbabwe because it's in the news everyday. You know about the Cyprus problem because it is obviously dear to your heart. As you yourself said above, we see the disaster. How often does Cyprus appear in the world news never mind it's issues of 1974 when many people weren't even born. How do you think they know of it? Don't you think if 100 Cypriots were camped outside the Turkish Embassy for several years (in a rotating basis) that something might have been done, or at least people know?

Whatever the future may hold, my family will deal with it through due process of law, NEVER would I expect Gordon Brown to take a personal interest in my case, it is far too small a matter when compared with the suffering of hundreds of thousands of families in similar circumstances.
Conor's case is different of course, he has YOU to stand behind him "Whooah!!".

pssssst Gordon Brown won't be found at the Turkish Embassy.

I thought you said you were too young for politics? How old are you?

Gordon Brown may not be found at the Turkish Embassy, but you can bet your life the conniving bastard is well in contact with it.
I am about the same age as Conor, but a whole lot smarter, he has burned his fingers and will burn yours, my dad taught me not to play with fire when I was a little boy.

Well all you seem to know a lot about is the whereabouts of prostitutes so it's clear where your priorities lie.

Anyway, when you condone Conor's legally purchased property being stolen from him you condone every Turkish action of stolen land!

You've made my day! I'd love to be an honorary Cypriot . . but in some ways only those who have lived through the dreadful times can truly be Cypriot (unless they live there and have adopted the country as their own).

Well, thats enough 'softness' to you, cuzzie-across-the-ditch. Time to get the guns blazing again :2guns: :2guns:

Feisty seems to have some kind of fixation about dossing outside Embasies, she should be aware that the people inside are probably looking out of the windows and taking the piss while they sip port and watch the rain pouring down on the fools outside.
The game I would be more interested in would be to get inside and kick the bastards out, THAT might get some results, maybe Conor and his gang of mis-fits should try that tactic, beats sleeping rough, juggling and hawking your bum down the "Dilly" in order to earn a few bob I reckon.

Well at least he's doing something which is more than any of you gutless whingers on this forum who just talk talk talk hatred against the Turks and sit on your backsides waiting for someone else to do it for you.

Feisty you may have lost the plot entirely and I don't think he was condoning anything, and IMHO you may be slandering the builder.

As I understand Connor was offered his money back and refused it. He wanted more from what I can work out and from what he alluded on another thread ..... I guess by calling Cyprus Corrupt he may think someone would give him some money to silence him?

Cyprus doesn't work that way.

Cyprus has done nothing wrong, and is certainly no different to the UK.

I also don't think the house was sold on .. was it not rented to cover costs or until such time Connor may want it?

Was it not just a simple case of some other houses going up in the vicinity? ... something most people would expect in a growing economy.

Now Feisty to equate any of this with what the Turks have done to the 200,000 refugees and the country as a whole means you are verging on immorality IMHO.

Perhaps everyone thinks they can just come and screw the Cypriots out everything they have because the Turks seem to be getting away with it?
