What Conner and others are doing are harming the case...blind freddie can see this...

The best thing is to stop encouraging such a behaviour, feisty, coz if the case turns a turn for the worse, Conner will be left holding his balls in his hands while you have nothing to lose...Now you get it?

You ain't helping him...try and think about it...

I support his fight for justice and any legal avenues he takes to achieve it. I am a victim too and have already lost a considerable amount of money.[/quote

Its all about winning Feisty...don't lose sight and stay focus...

GOD, VICTIMS . . . they make me sick . . (especially the self-proclaimed ones who become 'somebodies' through their "victimhood" . . and there are legions of the species these days!).

Yeap and the 15 min of fame is just about over...I can seriously see the case collapsing due to unwarranted publicity...

Well certainly I'd have chosen to buy elsewhere had I been aware of Conor's case before. Are you saying people should be kept in the dark?

Thats not what I am saying Feisty...don't allow your emotions to play havoc with you...There is only way to correct the wrong and is with the courts...

Airing illegalities in an open forum is not gonna help you...Especially if you are also furthering illegalities via illegal wiretrapping and generalisations...think about it...

What Connor is doing is wrong and justice will not be served...mark my words on this one...further more he invited every builder to have a go at him through the courts...

But you don't see the irony. Conor may want one of these builders to take him to court because over 2 years of trying to get into court himself has got nowhere. What he is doing now is a peaceful protest, as was that outside Ally Pally, to bring attention to the case. If tv programmes and newspapers start to report on his case then maybe someone will sit up and take notice,

No feisty what Connor did is open a whole can of worms...and this is not gonna help him one bit...If a couple of builders taking him to court his is gonna be in deep shit coz the cases are unrelated...He has no defence...

BTW you can defer cases...this could explain the no court apearance...do you know for certain?

I think the can of worms was well and truly opened when the law of Cyprus was swept aside and Conor's house was re-sold. When he was then beaten up for looking at the house and put in hospital for 6 days I think the worm well and truly turned. If newspapers and tv stations choose to broadcast his case they will ensure they don't break any libel laws so we will wait and see.

It amazes me Maynard that you spout so freely when you choose not to even live in Cyprus yourself.

Too many whingers over there for my liking, my family has more to complain about than you and Conor put together.
Problem is, I am too young to get really involved in politics and too old to believe all the bullshit the politicians tell me.
As far as Conor is concerned, I can read the geezer like a book, he thought he was on a good thing and came unstuck, he now thinks he can win his case by insult, abuse, and gaining support of others who like himself, thought they were going to make a killing on the rising price of property before they had actually fully paid for it.
Good luck to the developers, they must serve the interests of there investors, scammers, like you and Conor can go and sleep rough.

Or maybe buy something in the north of the island where you will find yourself in deeper shit soon enough.

What did you expect feisty, when you categorise the whole of Cyprus as the island of shame...what exactly did you expect?...sympathy?...fat chance...

Connor, might through desperation has taken the wrong action and this is going to be his downfall...I am sure his attorney would have advised him otherwise...but maybe to no avail...

Well however much you may not like it, it is Cyprus' shame and it is time something was done to uphold the law which is now being broken shamelessly.

Here we go again...emotions taking over...a dispute between 2 individuals has nothing to with Cyprus...You need to undersatnd this and move on...

How is the breaking of Cypriot law nothing to do with Cyprus?
Cyprus needs to get it's head out of the sand.

So carry on sitting on your backside and do nothing like many others before you. People like Conor are made of sterner stuff and are prepared to stick up for his rights.

Thats why they have courts...feisty I am tired of going around in circles...time to move on...

I still maintain through the actions of Connor, the case will collapse...mark my words..

Then you will be screaming all over again...two wrongs do not produce a right...remember this...

When a firm is dealing with big reputable companies and you are in the EU you presume (maybe naively) that you are not dealing with corrupt systems. I've bought 4 houses in the Uk in my life and never done any background work other than viewing. Each time you learn a little more but you don't ever imagine you are going to be put in the state Conow was.

Furthermore, it is a reflection on all the people, especially when you get comments like Maynard's on here.

Many people on the forum attack people who even visit the north. Isn't that unfair. If some of you had kicked up more of a stink the world would be more aware.

While it's true that many of us rely on the law to back us up, we should all recognise that there are unscrupulous people out there. It's all well and good if we're just buying some little thing, the worst that can happen is we're out of pocket a few pounds and feel a bit foolish, but if there are thousands of pounds at stake and it's a completely different environment to what we know then a little more caution is surely advisable. It doesn't excuse the developer but it avoids the problem altogether and then you can go ahead and report that developer so that no other unsuspecting buyer will fall into a trap.

I don't think it reflects badly on all Cypriots. If this one developer is proved to be a crook then it doesn't mean all Cypriots and even all property developers in Cyprus are crooks. You can hardly blame my uncle Panteli if some English guy he never heard of got ripped off by a property developer he never heard of. The only disgrace is to the individual. Unfortunately Conor has chosen to group all Cypriots into this category.

From my own experiences people have done a lot to protest about the Cyprus Problem for many years. The problem is that Cyprus is too valuable to too many powers and the protests fall on deaf ears. Even if Joe Public hears about it, he may be disgusted but he won't actually DO anything about it because it's not in his backyard. We all sit around and condemn what's happening in places like Zimbabwe and Darfur, but how many of us are actually going to help those people out? It's not because we're not aware, it's because it's not 'our problem'.

People like Conor are two a penny losers, he has a gang of like followers and thinks he is riding high.
Wait till the British government turn the hoses on him when he tries his latest scam in St James's Square, if I can borrow the horses I already mentioned, he will need a good hosing down, unless it pisses down with rain of course.

I agree . . Connor SOUNDS like a 'wide boy' (allegedly, of course). In one posting he claims of having 'done business all over the world' . . in which case he knew what he was up to and thought he could outplay the developers at their own game. I don't for one minute believe this was a family home . . where are they living now, that he can afford not to work and spend his days camping out on the street ?

This is a legal matter between him and his erstwhile business-partners. Its got nothing to do with the RoC. Next he'll be wanting a commando force sent in to redress his grievance.

No, when talking of Zimbabwe the sanctions have been vetoed by Russia and China, just like the UK's proposed actions against Turkey to pre-empt the 1974 invasion were vetoed by Kissinger.

I find it quite amusing that the ones who are most vociferous on this thread are those that do not even choose to live in Cyprus themselves.

What's wrong with you living there Maynard? Scared of having to do National Service?

You all keep on about the courts and the law but that is the very issue. Developers and lawyers every day break the law with seeming impunity and you don't like it when people try to ensure the law is upheld.
