How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Words of a True Cypriot Patriot!

Postby Paphitis » Sat Jul 12, 2008 12:27 pm

Suffice to say that all Greco-Turkish wars, once Greece was established, were started by the Greeks!

Bananiot correlates all Hellenic struggles for independence as Hellenic aggression towards the Ottomans! :?

Muzzy, I have no problem in accepting your proposals.

And here he is agreeing to signing over the northern parts of Cyprus to Turkey. :?

However, being spoilt brats, at the back of our mind we probably want this option for ourselves only.

Bananiot deems all Greek Cypriots to be spoilt brats because they have the audacity to expect justice and a truly united and free country. :?

Yet, it was the Americans that saved our skin on two occasions prior to 1974.

Bananiot believes that we should be grateful to the Americans for saving us on 2 occasions. Obviously this would have nothing to do with the weakening of NATO's southern flank which would have made the region vulnerable to any Soviet action at the time. :?

Muzzy, I must admit I agree with most of what you wrote in your last post.

Bananiot making more concessions to hardliner TMT or Gey Wolves. :?

Sadly, the Greek Cypriot side shoulders most of the blame.

The GCs shoulder most of the blame for Turkish invasion! :?

Macedonia is fine with me. Since when is a country name a protected trade mark?

Bananiot accepting FYROM as "Macedonia". :?

Patriotism is the last resort of all scoundrels!

Here he is calling all Cypriot patriots as "scoundrels". :?

Certain people use the Cyprob as a means to make money.

And I certainly hope that Bananiot is paid well for his treasonous ideologies! :?

I believe it is now up to the peace-loving people, on both sides of the divide, to stand up to the rejectionists and stop them in their tracks for once. We have had enough of their bigotry.

Here he states that all rejectionists are bigots! :? Is that because they just wanted a fairer deal? :?

He refers to the RoC as the "Banana Republic". He condemns all past RoC presidents. He also condemns all government initiatives if they fall short of handing Cyprus to Turkey on a silver platter. He agrees to all Turkish demands on Cyprus and criticises Cypriots should they have the audacity to expect justice!

Do you see what you have left us with GR! Please come back now! WE NEED YOUR HELP IMMEDIATELY. Bring back the GR treatment! Too much "Amerikaniko Daktilo" on this forum. :!: :!:

Everything has a purpose!

If it was not for the rubbish Bananiot comes out with, we may not have the benefit of some of the wisdom Piratis has to fire back at him ...

.... and the manufacturer of "Vaseline" would love him for the free advertising.

There is going to be more free advertising for "Vaseline" when Miltiades will no doubt spring up any minute to defend his friend's honor.

Er, I'm confused. A couple of the quotes there show an inclination to hand over the Northern part of Cyprus to Turkey. But then you have that last quote that calls on the 'peace-loving people' on both sides to stand up to the 'rejectionists', which indicates a desire for a democratic solution.

So where's the consistency?

Would be proud if you would count me in with the Rejectionists.

Kyrenia District (along with parts of Nic and Fam) shouldn't be the only tiny bit of Europe where the normal rules of free democratic people are restricted.

Been watching some videos of one of my screen sweethearts, the late, the great Ms M Mercouri.

As you will all know, she and the composer Theodorakis and many, many others, spent the period of the military dictatorship in GR (67-74), in exile. In one of the videos Ms M shouts out the patriotic words:

"Elefteria e phanatos"

What does this mean ?

Does it mean anything anymore ?

When I was at Greek school in the UK .. I remember we did a play for the 25th March 1821 ... and it still brings tears to my eyes to think of those women who danced and threw themselves off the cliff, one by one, as the Turks approached ... :(
