Christofias will meet tomorrow to review the work by technical committees established to prepare the grounds for comprehensive negotiations.
The two leaders are expected to announce how and when the substantial negotiations are to be launched.
Speaking before entering yesterday’s meeting of the Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Soyer said that the government’s objective is to start the talks with determination on the basis of political equality but he added that harmonization work with the European Union will be speeded up prior to a solution.
The Premier noted that talks on 8 of the 12 chapters with the EU have been completed.
Responding to a question concerning a possible cabinet change, the Premier stated that programs to be followed on the Cyprus issue and EU matters are being discussed within party organs and said `if any change are to be made, these will be made during this process`.
