NEW HOTEL IN BOGAZ

A new hotel has been opened in Bogaz in the Iskele District.
The 150-bed capacity Majestic Beach Hotel was inaugurated last night with a ceremony also attended by Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer.

The opening ceremony started with a fashion show by winners of the 22nd Miss North Cyprus Beauty Contest.

In an address at the ceremony, Prime Minister Soyer said that 400-year long existence of the Turkish Cypriot people in Cyprus would be strengthened further with such investments.

`Our existence will be strengthened with economic development, institutionalization and productivity` the Premier said.

At the end of the speeches, the Majestic Breach Hotel was opened by Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer, National Unity Party deputy Dervis Erogly and the Democrat Party Leader Serdar Denktas.

Built on Greek Cypriot land no doubt...i'm sure this will strengthen your existence.

The whole Island is Cypriot ... what do these moronic invaders from Turkey think they are doing building without RoC permission in Cyprus.

Lowlifes!

News from the Norhern Cyprus ............

The main opposition National Unity Party (UBP) staged a protest march today in reaction to the recent price hikes.
In addition to deputies and members from the National Unity Party, representatives of local non-governmental organizations and trade unions took part in the protest.
The march organized by the UBP’s Guzelyurt District Office started in front of the Guzelyurt Bus Terminal, ending at the Guzelyurt open bazaar.
The protestor beat drums and blew whistles in protests of the recent price hikes.

They also carried placards and banners calling on the government to withdraw the recent price increases or to resign.
Speaking to the BRT during the march, the UBP leader Tahsin Ertugruloglu said that the wrong policies pursued by the government had made life unendurable and had dragged all sectors of the economy to the verge of bankruptcy.
Calling on the government to resign so that early elections can be held as soon as possible, Ertugruloglu said that it was high time the country was governed by an experienced, competent and conscious government.

SOME STREETS IN OLD LEFKOSA(NİCOSİA) REOPEN

Some streets in the centre of old Lefkosa which were closed for traffic within the framework of a Pedestrianisation Project – have been reopened.

The streets were closed on Monday as part of the project which is being implemented within the framework of the wider `Asmaalti Development Project.
The Mayor of North Lefkosa Cemal Bulutoglulari said that these streets will be closed one by one to minimize the loss of tradesmen in the old town.

The closure of the roads caused disappointment among shopkeepers as the move led to a decrease in the number of people visiting the area.

But, the Mayor noted that the postponement of the implementation of the project is out of question.

The aim of the Project is to give a contemporary appearance to the Arasta and Asmaalti Areas in the city centre.

Stupid blinded fools...what difference will make who is elected...There is a shortfall from the benefits you receive from your "liberators"...

How on earth a replacement government gonna make up the difference...unless of course government spending is curbed, which that will open a new can of worms...

Hey Mr Bayarak, you wanna explain this to me?

If the authorities have no money they are gonna raise the services...how else they are gonna pay you?...Unless of course you like playing basketball with bouncing cheques...

News from the North.

President Mehmet Ali Talat has flown to Tunisia to attend his daughters wedding ceremony.

The President who left the republic this morning will return on Friday, 15th of August.
Ten days ago, on the 31st of July a separate wedding ceremony was held in the TRNC for the President’s daughter and his Tunisian groom, which was attended by many politicians, foreign diplomats and guests from South Cyprus.

The wedding was closely watched by a huge group of media from North and South Cyprus as well as from Turkey.

This may seem racist but I would not have thought it was a good idea to mention that Talat's daughter has married a Tunisian.

Some very close friends who have travelled extensively went there on holiday with their two young daughters. They bought some typical pottery from a market stall but when walking away after the purchase the stallholder sexually assaulted the elder of the daughters in full view of the mother. To cut a long story short the matter was reported to the police and on the word of our friends they decided to beat the disgusting excuse for a human. There is no doubt that he deserved it but they beat him with chairs, on his head and body, in front of the small children who were screaming in fear of the situation. The friends were then threatened by the police that they had to shut the children up or they could be in trouble too.

This was not the only bad experience as they had already been robbed of cash by a gang on the beach outside their hotel.

My wife and I have also been to Tunisia. Our experiences were not so bad insomuch as we had to stop an elderly German lady from being mugged by teenagers aged about 17. Hardly a brave bunch as I was about 50 at the time and my wife is tiny . Other than that we were sworn at by shop staff for not buying from their shops and on one occasion one hit me on the back for the same reason but ran away when he realised that I was going to retaliate.

' Nearly forgot..... on relating this to a male colleague he advised that he was sexually assaulted by a Tunisian male when he went there.

To generalise Tunisians are the scum of the earth and a bunch of cowards. To recommend holidays there to your worst enemy is the in thing to do.

Halil may I suggest you try to keep the wedding quiet although it is probably too late.
