Would I joke about such a thing!

Must be EU prices :(

No! Inflated stomach more like!

Would a mid-day jog help? Oh, no, I am just kidding.

You really are having a laugh D! Jog? In this heat?  :twisted

I was thinking for myself. I need to warm up.

A holiday in the sun may help!

I can barely stand the Cypriot heat. I am only doing it for Ann. :(

Kernow is the Best. Best Beaches in Europe ( to my experience ). Many of them development-free thanks to the GB National Trust, often have a whole beach to ourselves. Brilliant. Some of the Best Pubs. Best Country Driving along those steep banked, narrow lanes through the Cornish bocage - just like driving through car-washes.

Clotted Cream Teas. Yummy. Extra helping of cream please... oh no carrots in the Pasties PLEASE.

Wish I was going there again this year. Throw the bags and the family in the car and off we would go... but oh no She Who Must Be Obeyed insists, as only She can, that this cold and rain loving pushtoenglesso spends yet another August (not to mention several thousand pounds ) on yet another CY hol in that Outrageous Heat.

It was the half cooked carrots ad somrthing which looked like turnips in the pastie which put me off'em.

When younger, the driving in the countryside was blissful. Yes, the pubs were friendly and the food was great too. I am wondering what the colour of the sea might be. :?

Quite many years ago , maybe 40 or so , I took a weeks holiday with my wife in Cornwall . Ended up in Looe , rained for the first 3 days and on the forth the sun came out , well it tried , off we trot to the beach arm in arm as ...young ..lovers do ... sat on the golden sands then my eye caught a family , dad and mum , grandpa and grandma and a couple of kids all wearing boots and drinking tea out of great big mugs straight from a large flask !
Fuck that I said to my wife , fuck what she replies , Cornwall I said lets go home !!
I was not the right age then , now I'm , back to Brighton this Sunday pushing the old girl in her chair and ..enjoying the clouds and of course Fish and Chips on the pier !
Cyprus soon I hope !

@Deniz

The water off the beaches, and they're all sandy, in Kernow is as clear as tap-water. There are a couple where the water is a remarkable torquoise colour. The sea temperarature is surprisingly almost warm - Gulf Stream.

The area known as The Lizard is my favourite part of God's Own County.

Drives - the coast road west from St Ives to Lands End is one of the most scenic in England.

The tap water is good too BC, in two weeks my skin feels like a 'baby's bottom'. We went down to Sennen Cove twice. What a climb back up the Cliffs!!! The scene was lovely on the day the sun appeared. The first day we couldnt see the sea till we got to the beach. That in itself was an experence and brought to mind the 'tales of the wreckers'. Our location was next to the Pendeen Lighthouse. The pub food wasnt bad either.

The journey took 10 hours out and 11 hours driving back home (plus stops for the doggy walkies)
