When was the last time you were reduced to tears?

You can say why, if you wish.

Did it make you feel better?

March this year, Royal Opera House, Act II of Madam Butterfly - yes for the whole Act!

I am going to see it again, on my Birthday, at Paphos Harbour - I shall be the one wearing a brown paper bag over my head to avoid embarrassment a second time.

Why did I cry? I suppose because I find the sight and sound of opera very moving and just get involved. (Putting 'skin into the game' to use a horrible Amercan expresssion!)

I think it relieves strong emotion.

Yes Opera makes me cry too ... never again!

Besides, Madame Butterfly just conjures up the scene from Fatal Attraction, when the bunny boiler is repetitively switching the light on and off ..... So un-green, since a surge of energy is required to light the bulb in the first place!

I cried a lot when my 6 year old grandson Ben wrapped his arms round my waist in a vice like grip when I had to say goodbye last month. My daughter had to pull him away while he was crying and asking to stay with me.........Oh God, that was very hard.
